Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

He said it wouldn't happen, not we wouldn't want it to happen. Charlie staying won't stop us having a crack but it will prevent us from being successful. They're not giving up a gun with 3 years left on his contract for the TDK pick. Same as we wouldn't give Charlie for Sydney's first pick.

Our defence has been struggling to keep it's head above water.
Weitering has coped remarkably well but we look like the wheels are coming off every time he gets bruised.

Despite Young being there as support, he's been in and out, and the only player we've had capable of holding down a true KPD position just signed with the Saints. 4 years later, we haven't addressed the KPD hole.

Here we have an opportunity to give someone a go, if only for 12 months until our draftees recover and gain some physical strength, and it wont cost us anything trade/pick wise.

There’s some logic to the system but you’re losing a better ruck in the process.

Same could have applied with Wilkie (JSOS in for free, Aleer cheap draft - though hope GWS request their due whack for what they’re paying him) & another 1st rounder in.
