Dont think it was a fluke, Blair pretty good at trading out of shit drafts and into good ones. We did same in 2021 just had a lemon picking the players

Where we got lucky was Freo getting a top 10 pick for Lachie Schultz & Rioli picking a team that had no use for picks.

Not saying it was fluke but it was the perfect year for Bolton, Baker, Rioli to ask for a trade in the deepest draft (and particularly 1R) in recent memory. I wouldn’t have taken anything remotely resembling the players that were selected but that’s why they are in the war room and I’m sitting on my phone talking to strangers on the internet.

Looking at picks and points, I think WC is probably best positioned to get pick 7 from the Suns, given they can also offer to not bid at 1 or 2. This pick probably won't even be in the top 10 on draft night.

Probably end up with an order of something like this on draft night depending on bids:

Essendon and Carlton are probably the two potential split partners for us. Essendon will have plenty of picks to try and move up if they want to, while Carlton will definitely try and move their picks either to get ahead of a Dean bid or to accumulate points/futures.
