Duursma, Sharp, Dovaston and Curtin would be my ideal outcome, should we keep our first four picks.

I’m not as keen on Cumming as others. Good prospect but similar to what we have in Hewett and Reid.
Just on Cumming, you can never have enough star power, especially when he attacks the game at both ends. Defensively accountable, a feather in his cap which I feel Hewett and Reid lack.

Pick 1 mini-draft next year-Alex Walsh. We’ll get that pick for less than pick 2 as well and he projects to be a far better player. Hope we’re already getting friendly with Tassie.

✅200cm as a 15yo
✅WA boy
✅Aggressive
✅Can also play KP
✅Good kick

Having him 3 years behind Shanahan and 4 years behind Archer will be perfect.
How do the mini draft picks work?

How do the mini draft picks work?

Pick 1 and 2 are the only picks in the 2026 and then 2027 mini-draft and they are both given to Tasmania. Tasmania HAVE to trade them.

The 2026 mini draft is for a handful of 2027 draft eligible 17yos who were born at the start of the year. WA boys Alex Walsh and Angus Abbonizio will qualify.

I’d offer our 2028 1R and 2027 2R for both. But if push comes to shove just get pick 1 and take Axel.

Billiams and Flynn are shit
Archer Reid question on if he could be a full time ruck
Barnett is marking time until hes delisted
Livingstone is a long shot

So yes we are desperate, but CDT isn't the answer.

I said things incorrectly. I agree our ruck division is shit.

I don’t think we are desperate enough to use pick1 or 2 to fix it

Is this likely to actually to cause a much earlier bid? Not too sure if clubs put that much stock into combine results.
I'm still hopeful neither him or Banfield will attract a significantly early bid.
Dewar and Champion received no bid despite having some attention during the year.

I believe he has some interest in him. This came out during the U18s champs. I think we need to be prepared for a bid on him.

So Robey 3.118 sec 20m to go with 6:45 2km time trial. Don’t think he goes before pick 7 if we get it but I’d say Grlj is more likely than not to be taken by the Tigers or Bombers beforehand.
Were we expecting him to have better results?

I was expecting him to be faster than that over 20m. Now just seems like he can create separation with power and a good couple of first steps but lacks true speed.

That’s what you get with a 6-8 week sample size. Hopefully not for us in my view.

Was he was expected to smash the 2km? He wouldn’t have put the work in that others have over the last few years. He’s really only come on in the last few months.
If this is the case some clubs may look at it that he has plenty of improvement left in terms of being able to get from contest to contest.

Not the 2km no, but I expected him to show more speed. Is worth nothing he’s been recovering (and playing) with a fractured clavicle. He’s most definitely an upside pick, too risky for us.

Thredgold wow. Dovaston goes top 10 in the open pool now I think, will appeal to use if we get 7.

Schubert very impressive if we want to use him as a KPD that rucks in D50, another consideration for pick 7.
Will be interesting when the updated heights are released.
Schubert already looks to have a really good tank, Thredgold is quick but can he grow to be a KPD size?

Thredgold. He’ll be bigger than that with the new measurements. Combination of speed and running vertical will have clubs salivating as a KPD, can see why he blanketed the Bison in GF.

2,7 for 5,6,27

1-Duursma (WCE)
2-CDT (ESS)
3-Grlj (RICH)
4-X Taylor (RICH)
5,6-Sharp, Cumming, Schubert or Dovaston (WCE)
27-Thredgold (WCE)
