I don’t know much about Jai Serong as a player, but this chase made me a little nervous. Bringing in 2 new defenders (incl McVee) into a backline that is already keeping out Walker and Simpson and Draper, and the great unknown of how it would affect Caleb’s game having his brother here… Maybe not a bad thing he chose Sydney and means Jai is forging his own path

Signing a delisted SSP from Essendon has worked once for us though.

with the extra bench spot we are already playing 2x rucks so that spot should go to an attacking player, can see him being the one who takes it

If we haven’t won a flag before Tassie starts it’s curtains anyway and I wouldn’t blame Serong for leaving

Loving the melts due to a fringe player choosing another club over Freo whose brother is already at the club. Oh well that’s it, Serong won’t re-sign, he’s off, good luck at Tassie.

The bloke is so invested in the club and will be the next captain. Still two years to go on his current contract and will extend.

Freo don’t need another tall defender imo. Running HB (not sure on McVee, rather Simpson) and dangerous smalls. Thats what let Freo down against GC, Switta was a massive loss in the last home and away game and Clark got tagged and had no support.
