The challenge will be for selectors and Fly to commit to them medium term. We’ve seen scant evidence of it in his four years tenure. We can’t keep going back to the well with the over 28s. Abolition of the sub rule will help.

Again, moving Perryman, McCreery there is an option, but it will change the structure a lot and both need time to get accustomed in the centre game.
