Eddie Betts?Actually, who does do that? I know it's happened plenty in European football but have any notable AFL/VFL players returned to their old club? Chris Tarrant is the only one I can think of.

But that would be like going back to my old club... who does that?

It doeskinda feel like that, but there is still about a week to go.It feels like we are that single bloke at 2am in a nightclub. Just happy to go home with whoever now.
We really do have to make something out of nothing, we have limited list spots, can't do anything with this years picks (due to McCarthy etc), i would like to hold onto next years first rounder, but if they can do something with our F2, F3 and F4, i would be fine with.We done nothing really much this week so have to make something out of Nothing

We still have MitchellCal Twomey on Trade desk thinks Simpkin would be good for us, but he doesn’t think North would be tempted unless it’s a future 1st.
I don't care why they gave him a new contract but am glad they did. There must have been a valid reason, including possible interest from other clubs. Not at all, tough position to come in a senior line up. But nothing that forces us to give him an extra two years IMO. He could continue to come on next year… or he could not. I like him, I just think he’s still a big TBC simply based on body size so not sure why we’d commit the list spot unless we heard that WA teams were on his ear about requesting a trade next year.
Billy Picken and maybe TuddyI spent a few years in Melbourne, met my wife there and have lots of close Melburnian family.

I'm very happy to re-sign them too but let's not kid ourselves - at a time when we really need some serious list revitalisation, the re-signing our best players is the bare minimum that we need to be doing.I'd say retaining Elliott, Darcy & Bobby are perfect reasons to celebrate.
Where would we be as a club if we lost them?
And we just re-signed 2 promising young players who both debuted this year.
Where does Cox fit in then? This is why we we’re targeting Butts too I’m sure of it
If we played Brisbane again tomorrow and it was a final. Would we beat them?I'd say retaining Elliott, Darcy & Bobby are perfect reasons to celebrate.

Yes, if Bobby was playing. If we played Brisbane again tomorrow and it was a final. Would we beat them?

Not so outlandish. One of the fittest guys going around. Dunno why it's so funny Kappa. We still have Mitchell
IMO not finished just yet.
Who has been told to find another club. Seems pretty straight forward. We still have Mitchell
IMO not finished just yet.
Not a fan?The Simpkin interest is making me very nervous, please stop, he isn't A or B grader he is garbage at best, anyone thinks otherwise knows dicks about the game!!! I can't believe the talk.
JUST STOP IT!!!!!!!
He’d be good for North. Get it doneWe still have Mitchell

Didn't see that.Who has been told to find another club. Seems pretty straight forward.
I'd want to leave too if Dimma was my coach. He's such a sour puss and creepy too. Even looking at him makes my face scrunch upHuge exodus from GC. Rosas (4 games) Flanders (23), Ainsworth (24) Budarick (19) Fiorini (18), played a combined 88 games in 2025 and have all opted to leave.
Not to mention Humphrey desperately selling himself around town trying to get out as well…
Are the media asking what’s going on?

Trent Croad. Ablett Jnr. Timmy Watson. Peter Bell. Probably a few more.I spent a few years in Melbourne, met my wife there and have lots of close Melburnian family.

I see quite a few young players on our current list who debuted last year or were injured & who will now have another pre-season as revitalisation.I'm very happy to re-sign them too but let's not kid ourselves - at a time when we really need some serious list revitalisation, the re-signing our best players is the bare minimum that we need to be doing.
