Can you put the slop away and try find joy in life? Do you need a languge learning model built off copyright violation and theft to tell you HOW TO ARGUE ABOUT AFL PLAYER TRADES?????

Critical Assessment of Value
Trade Implications
- Limited impact profile: Despite playing regularly, Ah Chee has never established himself as a consistent match‑winner or core driver of team success. His role has been more complementary than central.
- List fit concerns: Adelaide already has younger, developing players who can cover wing, half‑back, and forward roles. Bringing in a 27‑year‑old who doesn’t fill a pressing list gap could be seen as redundant.
- System player, not system driver: His premierships with Brisbane can be framed as the product of a strong team environment rather than individual influence.
- Contract leverage: He has nominated Adelaide as his preferred destination. That strips Brisbane of bargaining power — if no deal is reached, he could walk through the pre‑season draft.
Adelaide could argue:
Bottom Line
- Ah Chee is not worth a second‑round pick, nor even a third‑rounder.
- Brisbane should attach a late pick sweetener to move him, effectively paying Adelaide to take on a player they no longer see as central to their best 22.
- The framing: “We’re absorbing the risk of a long‑term deal for a depth player. If you want to ensure he doesn’t walk for nothing, you need to incentivise us.”
Ah Chee’s trade value is negative — Adelaide should only consider him if Brisbane packaged him with a pick upgrade or late‑round compensation. The logic is that his on‑field impact doesn’t justify giving up draft capital, and Brisbane’s lack of leverage means they should be the ones paying to make the deal happen.
Never paid fair value? That makes no sense lol. Just look at last year - we traded a future 2nd for a contracted Neil-Bullen, and the deal was done within the first couple of days of trade week. If that wasn’t fair value, why didn’t Melbourne wait, ask for more, or keep him? You’ve been insinuating that because we’re on top, we suddenly need to start paying more - and when asked to back it up, you change your tune. Your backpedaling is hilarious.

Your club traded pick 5 & Jack Crisp for Dayne Beams only to give him back to Collingwood a few years later for a packet of chips. Does that mean you're not a well run club either?
No club would give pick 16 for an out of contract Ah Chee. No reason for us to be bullied into it. Future second and the earliest of our thirds this year is enough.
Compensated for not paying him his worth? An average AFL contract of 5 years at $650-700k?As stated before, he had a contract in front of him relative to the rest of the team. the Crom have turned his head with a contract big enough to prize him out, and so the Lions should be adequately compensated.

Considering their shit finals campaign, i don't blame them. The problem is, they're a side that is used to folding to better clubs. In what world is Cal worth a pick in the 40s?!
Adelaide fans wanting an easy win.
Then combine the two picks to move up the order if that works better.Your future second is in late 30s. You will never be able to draft Ah Chee with that pick even in open draft. Someone would've picked him up in 20s and he'll be gone. What you are offering is unders and you know it.
Then combine the two picks to move up the order if that works better.
There are no guarantees in football, we could drop out of the eight next year and it’s a pick in the 20s.
A first rounder is ridiculous, I’m sorry. In fact I’m not sure why Lions supporters are discussing it.
28 and OOC, not a star. If Ben Ainsworth were a premiership player, would you say he should cost a first rounder despite being OOC?
ANB was a premiership player too (and played a great grand final). Regular in their bnf. It’s absolutely a good comparison.
Ridley. You’ve already got enough Annable points, what’s the point of getting 16 (even as an upgrade)

Out of contract reduces your bargaining power significantly. And no club would give away Ah Chee for a pick in the late 30's or early 40's.
Pick 16 in an awful draft isn't exactly selling the farm. Plus, after academy picks, etc, it would become 18-19 or something like that. I would argue that you wouldn't find someone better in this years draft in that range then Ah Chee. Tbh, I do think pick 16 is slightly high, however, it's a hell of a lot closer to Ah Chee's value then a pick in the late 30's or early 40's. I would value Ah Chee's value around the early 20's.Out of contract reduces your bargaining power significantly.
Why would the crows give up pick 16 for him? He’s not the difference between winning or losing a flag next year. We targeted him because he’s a victim of your pursuit of two blokes who will cost near 900k each next year, plus OOC and a role player, so he’s a smart buy without the need to overpay in collateral.
We don’t have to sell the farm for him.
Awful draft except for a strong South Australian contingent.Pick 16 in an awful draft isn't exactly selling the farm. Plus, after academy picks, etc, it would become 18-19 or something like that. I would argue that you wouldn't find someone better in this years draft in that range then Ah Chee.
Your continued defiance is staggering. You literally implied that we should now 'pay fair value' due to our ladder position. Your own words. I'm not making shit up. Either show evidence of others doing the same and back up your claim or stfu.So what doesn't suit you is subjective and irrelevant. Your dreamed up argument is the only one matters. I never changed my tune mate, seems like you hear voices in your head too? funny shit.
Finally you've stated what I said as fair value (for once) rather than twisting it to "which club has overpaid due to ladder position".Your continued defiance is staggering. Now you're going in circles lol. What is considered 'fair value' and 'overpaid' is subjective and irrelevant. Back up your claims or bugger off mate. Finally you've stated what I said as fair value (for once) rather than twisting it to "which club has overpaid due to ladder position".
Stick to fair value than overpaid and we are sweet. Or else bugger off mate.
