Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

If they were considering keeping him, then, from what I've heard, it would need to be run by his teammates first. If they don't want to play with him, he can't stay.

This is interesting as my player sponsor was very keen to discuss the bad mental health that comes with footy. He said it's not spoken about enough but it's definitely becoming increasingly common.

From all reports the group are keen to better their understanding towards mental health in footy and how to help each other.

I like that the club is putting it to the players and I hope they give Lij a chance to redeem himself.

If Rowbottom is talking to Collingwood, it means we dont want him otherwise if we did he would be part of the Charlie deal. Same as Florent. So if we asked them to get us more picks, who are the players gonna be ? If it’s not Hayward, Rowbottom or Florent. For the record i dont want Rowbottom or Florent really. I want Hayward, McDonald as we need medium to tall forwards. Along with the picks of course. Or maybe we are asking for more 1st rounders that Rowbottom and Florent may get so we can package to get up the draft and or on trade for players at other clubs if Sydney have no players we want ?

That's just obfuscation used by people who want to trade out draft picks. The real argument is that the player picked with pick 2 could end up a heck of a lot better... when the trajectory (for want of a more correct word) suggests as much.

If this club is to get better it has to stop giving chop outs to guys based on their talent or if they fill a need for us, and if it has to start with Elijah then so be it.

He’s not the only one this applies to.

I get the support piece, but there’s a minimum standards piece here as well and personal responsibility is a part of that.

The decision on Elijah needs to come from the playing group and coaching group. As long as they make the call, I'll be satisfied. If it is a president or board decision, I'll be ropable and the club had better be ready for my constant whinging they'll never have to hear.

We are looking to fill 22-28 year age gap. Both these fill that and are best 23 players. I reckon Rowbottom is massively underrated

Do you expect him to be part of the Swans offer?

I'm warming to the idea of picking him up. Partly to stop the Pies from getting him, but also because he has mongrel.

I agree, and if he makes it through to a new contract put him on an incentive based contract.
With requirements and triggers that are in the clubs favour.

If he stuffs up or breaks the agreement it's cause for dismissal... see you later.

In today's "AFL" market he probably isn't overpaid. The salaries are going to increase significantly. Williams' contract could have been front-loaded. We don't know.

Yeah, I responded to another post, the closer the end of trade period gets, the less I want Hayward, and I was all in on Hayward for Charlie being part of the trade.
