Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

I'd rather take a potential Sydney pick 10 and TDK compo and offer it up to Suns and try and get Walter and a future 1st out of them. Just take Dean and Ison from the draft.

Doubt we would get a 1st back.
But I'd also be very happy to just take Dean ison walker and a late pick for the next 2 drafts if we are bringing in A grade established talent

Carlton: Out - Curnow, #10, #22, #67, F1 2027, F2

In - Walter, Butters, Hayward, #11, #19, F1 from 1 of 3 teams, F3

I'm about to have an aneurysm.

So, Curnow is essentially worth Walter + Butters + Hayward + a 1 pick downgrade from 10 to 11, a 3 pick upgrade from 22 to 19...

I think Sydney should throw in Gulden to seal the deal....

Charlie has "privately nominated" Geelong.

And its a "done deal" that Charlie will be in hoops next season.

So they have added Miers to the deal? Cool

Perfect world we want to trade up to Pick 3-4 then have points for Dean & Ison. We don’t want a heap more youth.

The problem with trading with the Tigers is, they don't have any picks other than 3 & 4.

Ess could be a decent option too though, 10 + 11 for 6 + 21

Gives us 21 + 22 for Dean bid (as well as our other picks which should come down after all the bids are paid for)

Pick 6 to draft someone before the Dean bid.

Have to think 21 + 22 would come down a couple picks too right? GC will be using a couple top 10's to match bids I assume...

If it was me, I'm still prioritising to combine 10 + 11 for a F1 from Melbourne or North.

I saw some Richmond bloke beat the crap out of some bloke outside of a pub and the club stood by him. Stengle rushed to hospital after a 3am nightclub 'incident', and the club supporting him as an "error in judgement." How did Degoey go over in Bali last time he visited there?

All I see is photos showing Lij undertaking pre-season training with our future captain Walsh along with other players around Princes Park. Does that demonstrate lost trust with the players, or a club with a piss poor culture that the coach has to come out and admit at a Best and Fairest presentation?

So let's just cut him. We did it with Fev, we did it with Mitch, we did it with Jeffy, and where did that get us? Maybe we're looking in the wrong direction.

If we decide to cut him it’s for the right reasons and I’ll back the club

Walter was a #3 pick in a stronger draft just 2 years ago... GC aren't letting him go for #10 + #22 in a weak draft.

Butters alone, is worth more than Charlie. If Charlie was 25, then it's a different story...

That would leave us with

I agree the Walter one is a massive stretch but hey they have 3 academy players, 2 in the top 5 and 1 more around pick 20 and they need to get petraca in, but if you trade pick 10 and future 2027 picks and curnow there is no reason what so ever if players are keen we could definitely have some major success this trade period

Still annoys me that a dh like Curnow was happy to sign a six year extension two years ago, and now wants out.

Why didn’t he just sign a two year extension that would have taken him to the FA stage, he would have had clubs queuing up for his services - imagine what the Saints would have offered him!

I would love to turn Charlie + some pick shuffling into Walter + Butters + Hayward but I just can't see it happening without at least getting rid of our F1 as well and that just won't happen at all.

Cerra is a different kettle of fish to the other two. Ultra professional and always tries his guts out but been terribly unlucky with injury and probably not the 'talent' the club initially hoped for. Still hopeful that he can get back to his 2023 form with a good run at it.

He said it still annoys him that Charlie signed a 6 year deal and now wants out. I'm disagreeing and saying I'm rapt he signed it, because now we get compensated.

The club absolutely did the right thing, except possibly front loading the wrong guys contract. Can't blame them for that one though.

Even better. They believe our recruiting department should be sacked for not accepting their 3 first round picks (cough) because they are incompetent of drafting anyone of value or worse, can’t be bothered to shop them around to upgrade them.
