Posters are responsible for what they post. Moderators can not attest to the accuracy or otherwise of any rumour posted.

Moderators will intervene for a couple of reasons.

1. If a thread is threatening to be derailed because of a post.

2. If invested parties request the removal of material.

None of this draws a conclusion as to the accuracy or otherwise of the original post.

There is no need to further speculate. What will be will be.

Also, you need to remember that this thread like all parts of this forum is bound by the rules of poster conduct. If you want to express skepticism towards a rumour that's fine, but having a crack at posters who are contributors to this forum is simply not on and will be acted upon.

Simply put, don't be a dick.

TBH, Securing picks for Dean & Walker and Snagging Humphrey if doable is all I give a stuff about if we are trading Charlie.
Geelong aren't going to cough up and Sydney can get us the picks we need.

I read it as CC is happy either way - it’s now up to Carlton. I know we’re making an offer, won’t be public unless a done deal given the player speculation going on. There’s confidence it will get done.

Jon Ralph reporting here that rival clubs believe Sydney are trying to trade Florent for a F2 which they believe may entice Carlton who will have Cody Walker next year.

Also notes that Rowbottom wants to stay at Sydney despite a recent chat with McRae and that Hayward is "getting his head around" whether he would be prepared for a move in a trade. Notes that Voss is a big fan of Hayward.

I would take that deal but I wouldn’t be adding anything to CC.

Pick 11, future 1st, Future 2nd and Hayward is an adequate deal. Not blowing my socks off or anything according to the Friday blumour.

You really are over-playing the Charlie hand.

What difference does it make if Charlie has agreed terms with Geelong. It is up to Geelong to put up an acceptable offer. Without that it is irrelevant what tems Charlie has agreed to

Just went for a stroll on the other boards. Syd board seem very divided on how the likes of Rowbottom, Florent and Hayward departing maybe will affect relationships and it’s team. Cats board just seem like they are entitled and like it’s absurd for us to ask for what we want. Stark differences in attitude.

It’s quite simple really. He’s contracted for 4 years. 2 time Coleman medalist recently. Doesn’t matter if he’s 29 or 23. Actually, lucky he’s not 23 because we’d be asking for the world. He hasn’t requested a team to go to specifically. So guess what? Best offer that meets our needs will see him in your colours. Cats fans are the ones finding it difficult to understand tbh lol. You gotta laugh. I really do hope we strike a deal with the Swans and it works out.

That's because Sydney are a realistic bunch that values their players, and Geelong is a walking entitled petulant teenager of a club. No wonder Bailey Smith fits right in.
