Swans apparently have struggled to get any players to leave and to come to us which was always core of their intended offer. Third party now a real possibility
it's happening GIF

Means so much to our depth and development which is vital to be a successful club

I think this is much bigger than most realise

I feel an attitude change will be our biggest winner, out with the negativity and those that don't want to be a part of it and in with some hungry experienced players to take our younger players forward.

I really enjoyed watching the our young guys play VFL and get on a roll as they played with spirit, I feel that the hierarchy can see that and wanted a purge of those that weren't on the same page or ran their own race.

he was just saying that Carlton should have approached Sydney/Geelong players in advance and convinced them to come to us on long contracts that make them close to the highest paid player in the AFL!. lol He must be a heel.
Hes assuming we didn't approach them. I reckon Robbie D would have approached the management of most decent players at Sydney and Geelong to see who was open.

If all works out...

Cowan Weitering Newman
Florent Haynes Khamis
Hollands Cripps Walsh
Ainsworth Kemp Williams
Motlop McKay Smith
Reidy Humphrey Hewett

Cerra Lord White Young Carroll

That is 5 players ready to go into the best 22 and that isn't even including Newman, Kemp and Smith!

WOW!

Yup.
And this to me is why we should not be cavalier about who wants out and why.
Not just blindly accept what we are told.

The reasons that lead to leaving won't magically resolve and players do talk and sus things out.
Plus...we had such a crap year.😄

I hope we can get this done - But only for a high calibre trade.

Graham Wright ,Chris Davies and Nick Austin have been superb. Its notable the the positive impact the CEO and Footy manger having around the place. Their vision is succinct , at last our skinny young talent will have the opportunity to develop in professional and cohesive environment
After 3 decades of wilderness we're going to move forward, it took courage and vision.

This is one of the biggest things for me. We haven’t picked up superstars, but the players we've got so far make us a better team on game day and will help our kids develop.
