Traded Jamarra Ugle-Hagan [Traded to Gold Coast for Pick #74]

Looked very unfit from what I saw the other day. Expect next year is getting miles into his legs and a couple of hammies etc...

If he can apply himself, I expect 2027 is when the Suns will start to benefit from him.

Anyone on here truly believe he can keep himself clean?

He has not played any games and rarely trained all year, citing mental health issues. The AFL wouldn't let the Bulldogs suspend or cancel his contract, even after several months. He was offered counselling, a health retreat, and a generous amount of leave, but never returned, saying he'd lost interest in the game.

He also managed to attract a bit of unwelcome publicity during the year, for non-footy-related incidents.

The AFL has now realised this can't go on at the Bulldogs, we've done all we can, and shouldn't be made to keep forking out unearned money on a contract unfulfilled, so they have conscripted (IMO) the Suns (as an AFL-supported club) to step in and give him (an indigenous, former number 1 pick) one more chance. No one else was interested.

We will see what we will see.

Thanks mate, appreciated

We overpaid a tiny bit for Budarick, that might have helped.
Fair point. I'll never forget his non-performance in the elimination final last year.

Good luck to the young man but I am not holding my breath.

Hope he turns his life around.
Best of luck to him from me too, but I wouldn't be expecting much.

Sorry guys. I have half followed the JUH story in 2025. But can someone please explain to my why a player of this quality might get to the SUNS for a late token pick?

Is it because hes a flight risk and also the relationship betweenb him and DOGS is severed?
He is lazy self centred unreliable jerk that any professional club wouldn't go near.

this has been disgraceful and feel sorry for the dogs. absolutely disgusting.

AFL should have stepped in long ago the utter whimps.

Be a shame if he blew up the locker room at Gold Coast just as they were starting to look like a serious football team

Crazy risk from them IMO

Totally agree. Doesn't deserve another chance, especially without going away to play VFL or similar for a season
I assume you all know him personally by your remarks

Harbs and other club members will provide support for sure and those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

What happened with this guys contract? I read he's on 200k at the Suns but the Dogs have no contractual obligation to him.

Have the AFL ticked off the Dogs ripping up the rest of the money due to breach of contract? I'd hope the Dogs aren't paying him the difference.
Correct
