That does nothing for you.
That narrative hinges on the idea of an F2 and F3 being unreasonable for a 28 year old role player, which is just incorrect. Any neutral would agree. Instead, it’s the first round demands that are unjust.Imagine spending 12 months courting a player from another club, then offer peanuts to said club and leave him in limbo. If he does now end up re-signing, or drafted to another club via the PSD then its egg all over Adelaides faces.
You can spin it any way you like fella.

Guaranteed that many clubs will be into AhChee’s ear, telling him that they’ll consider picking him up at the PSD.So, looks like we're getting Ah Chee for free. Pleasure as always, Brisbane.
We already have enough points this year;
depends what players are availableLol
There won’t be 14 picks in the preseason draft. There are normally only 2 or 3
i didn't say anything about a win for Lions but if anyone but Crom get him it's a win for the competition and a learning experience for AdelaideThat does nothing for you.
Crows ask for player. Lions were clear to AhChee where they valued him, and told the Crows the same story, and weren’t bluffing obviously. Crows don’t pay what the club wants.That narrative hinges on the idea of an F2 and F3 being unreasonable for a 28 year old role player, which is just incorrect. Any neutral would agree. It’s not necessarily “egg on face” territory but it’s a bad look for Brisbane at the trade table.

Hes not staying.Wrong. We'd much prefer he heads to WC than Adelaide...plus we now have the opportunity to talk him around.
Because anybody can put a value on a player, it becomes a bad look when that value is obviously unreasonable and they refuse to budge.Crows ask for player. How is that Brisbanes “bad look”?
Your narrative remains reliant on the idea of crows offering “peanuts” for him. If you genuinely believe a first rounder is fair value for a 28 year old role player that has never finished top 10 bnf, there is no point arguing further.read the post I was replying to for context Eddie my boy

Lol..if after the PSD he is in Adelaide Colours, it will have been a complete free hit for us. If he doesn't and goes elsewhere in the PSD, we move on knowing we have used our full suite of picks at the draft and Brisbane lost a player they think was worth a 1st round pick for nothing. Imagine if he ends up at a bottom ranked side in the PSD because Brisbane refused a good offer....thats ugly stuffI mean the shoe is also on the other foot. Clearly Adelaide didn't care that much about acquiring him if they didn't value Pick 16 for a Dual Premiership Player in their prime.
This is clearly a case of a club knowing they're likely a high chance of just getting him in the PSD and decided to say suffer in your jocks to Brisbane. F2 & F3 is pretty cheap chips for him.
By declining a deal, we get one last crack at trying to negotiate a new contract for him, showing we value him more than Adelaide. Funnily enough.
Williams fronting an Adelaide presser tells you all parties thoughts on this behind the scenes. Look, Brissy posters will laugh and not care, why should you as back to back premiers but this seems pretty stupid and poor.
