Completely fine, strong stable list with a couple of additions over the offseason.

Crows fumbling all of their major trades this off season has to be the funniest thing all season. After their straight sets exit as minor premiers.

His manager will be talking to Adelaide, Brisbane and WC. Ah Chee was talking to WC before deciding on Adelaide so is obviously aware WC have/had an interest and isn't disgusted at the prospect of playing for us.

I do think WC will still be interested, but I would imagine if it goes down that path it will be known to all parties beforehand. I.e. he's not going in the PSD then being surprised we call his name out.

There won’t be 14 picks in the preseason draft. There are normally only 2 or 3

Every club has the option to use their pick in the PSD.

Most don’t, because they sign players as delisted free agents, or via the preseason supplemental period.

However, Ah Chee doesn’t fall in to either category, he has to go in to a draft according to AFL rules, either the national draft or psd.

So you have to gamble on every club before you passing on Ah Chee in the psd, or committing to another player.

Adelaide has had all year to have the right capital to trade for Cal whose value based on other deals is around the 20-25 mark. They came to the trade period with only a f2 to offer, something which would end up around pick 40.

Based on previous trades the lions have done with other clubs, one proposal would have been a pick slide which would have valued cal around pick 25. The Crom didn’t want to do that.

I’m happy for the club to take a position on this one and not budge if the Croms trade tactics are to just offer a pick that has little value to us and say all we got take it or leave it. They had all year.

I totally get where Brisbane are coming from. Adelaide's offer was a joke, and Brisbane are in the business of winning premierships. Why take a shit deal for a player that will make one of your main rivals significantly better?

If Adelaide even made a decent offer, Brisbane would've played ball out of respect to Ah Chee.

If he's been getting underpaid, doesn't that suggest he's worth something based on his performances? Hence asking for an early 2nd rd pick is reasonable?

So now he is suitable p155ed at Brisbane as is his manager. he now becomes a delisted free agent and will nominate for the PSD. He can put whatever contract he likes on his head and term length. So if he thinks another club might try and take him, he puts a 1 year big money deal on his head..if they take him, as he is a delisted free agent at the end of this year, he is one for life and in a years time walks for nothing to the club of his choice. So at worst, Adelaide can be sure of having him in a maximum 1 year's time if a club is silly enough to get in his way this time in the PSD
