Dont think they will as their pick #37 wont get it done and doubt they would trade F1 to move up 5 spots in this draft

Historically it is very Melbourne to move up or try to move up, but there has been a specific player Melbourne were after every time they’ve done this.

I don’t know there’s anyone who is appealing enough to try this year.

There’s also been talk from Lamb (list manager) and Guerra (CEO) about getting another two top 15 talents in which would mean keeping 7 and 8. That may be just spin because it wasn’t Melbourne’s original plan to be playing in this draft.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they keep 7 and 8 and play it by ear on draft night. Either select players if they like two who are available, or see if a club is willing to trade their 2026 R1 to grab a player that club really likes.
