It's fine to keep Gov. He has versatility and understands our system.

The others are sure to be delisted now. White, Flynn Young, Charleson and Elijah.

I feel for Will White who is blue-hearted and deserved more. Charleson is one who I think has something and I want to keep.

Flynn Young got some games, and to be honest, I was only impressed in one of them, possibly his last. I can see where we might have found upgrades but it's tough.

I'd be looking to move out Binns and Fogarty a year early.
Do we need to delist all 4? Thought Charleson would stick around at a minimum.

I get giving Gov another go, but I would’ve preferred if we’d gone for Derksen instead.
We have room for both, especially given both can play forward. Hopefully we can convince Derksen to wait until after if we need to take extra picks in for points.

AFL website said Charleson had extended along with Frank.

I would keep Flynn Young ahead of White (it took him a minute to get up to speed at the higher level, but kept improving for mine), but would probably ideally keep both ahead of Fog and Binns.

Oh, everyone I watch says Charleson is uncontracted. Frank was done a while back wasn't he? I hope you're right, because he has the most potential of all those waiting.

With Gov re-signing for another year,

2025
34.
Rob Monahan (International Rookie Cat B)
38. Will White (Pre-Season SSP Rookie 2025) ?
41. Matt Duffy (International Rookie Cat B) ?
44. Francis Evans (Pre-Season SSP Rookie 2025) ?
45. Flynn Young (MSD Rookie 2025) ?
Duffy is halfway through his initial 2 year contract. Monahan and Evans have both been re-contracted as confirmed by other sources, just not announced by the club.

2 contracted players will get delisted now
With Gov & EH we’re at 34 of 36 senior.
3 at the draft means 1 to go (EH rumoured).

The only thing is the list spots on the draft picks taken into the draft with points wanted for matching bids with later picks.

If contracted players are released, then it would likely be to be re-rookied with rookies to be upgraded potentially unless it’s the payout & cya later route.

Duffy was contracted for 2026, he came on a 2 year contract, which didn't start till a year ago due to the ACL.
No Club statement, but was in the news in Ireland that Monahan got a 1 year extension.

Again, not from the Club, but the AFL website said that Evans and Charleson both got 1 year extensions.

The club didn't announce either of them re-signing but it was definitely mentioned as done on the AFL app in both cases.

Cat B’s are a free hit to add to your list numbers.

I thought the list size can only be 44 regardless of the make up.

36-38 senior, up to 6 rookies and 2 Cat B.

So 36-6-2, 38-4-2, 38-6-0.

That was the google AI response. I'll go looking.

Meh. Bloody Lucky IMO. Has the talent to be a star but too conditional and lazy. I understand the reasoning but he better be clear on effort needed. If he is allowed to get away with same crap he did this year Voss is gone. Can't be tolerated ever again.

I assume it's on a very base wage

I hope we still get a genuine KPD like Phillips added to list

McGovern will likely play a lot of games.

He's cover for guys like O'Keeffe, Moir, Kemp, McKay, Haynes and Young.

That's a large group of players who over the last few years have been injury prone and some who are either on the young end of the scale or the old end of the scale.

He will probably play well, should be motivated and good to get him to 100 Carlton games.

He's a better player than Khamis.

Most likely delist Binns and Hollands. I can see us letting Fogarty go as well. Charleson I hope we keep.

Can see him being a forward option only (see effort/lazy in a defender).

Kemp recovering. Charlie out. HOK as our only real tall option outside H as our KPF. Mobile forward role may beckon.

Phillips or the like should be a real KPP.
