All three tons have been second innings. Of his 4 fifties last year, they were split between first and second

I thought I read it on here. It's unusual for a bat to average more in 2nd innings, but from memory his had quite the discrepancy.

I thought there was an unwritten rule that test batters were expected to bat in the top four for their state side. Equally I would have thought Tassie would have encouraged Beau to bat higher and give him every opportunity to play the first test. Though I appreciate this is his first game back from injury.
