None of those stats measure their respective competitiveness.

McStay averages 1.35 contested marks whilst White averaged 0.83 from AFL tables is better representation of their gap in that area but even then that doesn’t tell the full of how each player presented at the ball carrier or stood under a higher ball in a pack.

It's an interesting stat because most people tend to think of Jesse White as an absolute spud but he actually played some pretty good footy for us in patches.

I would prefer Elliot over Stringer as Elliot is better overhead and has less cultural issues
