The current position of this game surprises me as I thought a NSW team with nearly all their test players in would be to strong for the Vics.Perhaps I am underestimating that Victorian bowling attack with guys like O,Neill,Elliott and Perry.

The current Vic squad is a very balanced line up that is also in form. NSW have some stars but also a fair bit of dross.

What’s most surprising is usually Abbott and Starc would make runs and Smith wouldn’t get out for less than about 200.

The NSW batting lineup is brittle despite the big names, but usually those would eke out far more than they did.

I've only been checking the scorecard - was the NSW collapse a result of good bowling or poor batting?
Bit of both, Smith (though at 8 down), Philippe, Edwards and Patterson to an extent all played poor shots to lead to their dismissals, but Victoria's pressure was very good. Good fields, good bowling
