Our batsmen owe a lor to the bowlers.
Agreed, but it was a very tough series for batsmen. I think the highest score for the 3 test series was 70 odd. I still think Smith, Head, Carey(improved a lot) and Webster(beena revelation last 12 months) are solid. Green improved as the series went on. I think he'll be ok. Not sure at #3 though. Can see Head moving up the order for Green. I'd rather see us go with a McSweeny than Marnus this summer against the Poms. Need to keep giving younger blokes a go. Khawaja looks done. It's a real shame Pucovski had to retire. He was a lock for an opening spot for years to come. But agreed, our bowlers are much stronger than our bats atm. I mean Boland can come in and do that and he's not even getting much of a gig.

Anyone else watching this Tim David innings? Fn hell
He went ape droppings!

Had about a dozen dot balls and still managed the 100 in 37 balls.

to lazy to make a new thread. Watching the first ODI

ODI's really feel like preseason for test series these days, particularly with a Ashes series looming on the horizon this year. At least India will draw a good crowd to the ODI's

Also for i am not overly attached to soccer, but our media here seems to now on two occasions write up ange postecoglou as this unfairly treated victim, like he's some insane talent that's been at the wrong environment. Yeah maybe some of that is true, and the guy seems like a decent person. But like eh? You know what you're getting into over there and how ruthless it is and it hasn't worked out. But it's like all i've heard about today and i maybe it's just i find soccer meh, but i don't really care a lot

Been watching the highlights of the RL ashes, mate Reece Walsh is something else, you can also really see how the AFL has influenced the full backs kicking games one of the kicks to Addo Carr which ended up being dodgily ruled out was as good a pass on the lead as any AFL kick

Hazlewood has a hamstring injury ahead of the first test

Who could have possibly seen that one coming???
Who would have thought that having an aging attack that you constanly select would backfire?

Seriously, the things that we mocked the Poms for in the past, we're doing it currenly.

On the plus side, it happens so often now you can bank on a test or two for whoever is best of the next batch in the shield. A kind of forced succession plan. We never seem to struggle finding gun quicks.

Our batting though is patchy. Gonna need Smith winding back the clofk, again
