Points Matching- How to Calculate:

Picks 1-18: Points value of pick less 10% discount
Picks 19-36: Points value of pick less 84 points discount
Picks 37+ : Next available pick

From the points required deduct the value of the next available pick and repeat until the total of the picks used exceeds the value required. The value of the surplus is then used to add back the pick closest to that value

For example a bid at pick 2 for Uwland:
• Pick 2 = 2481 points less 10% means 2233 points are needed to match
• Gold Coast have picks 15 (973), 18 (836), 24 (621) totalling 2430 points
• There is a surplus of 197 points which is equivalent to pick 43 (184 points)
• So to match, Gold Coast lose picks 15,18,24 and gain pick 43

40. NTH - Sam Allen, Wing, Oakleigh Chargers

Further write up to come, but an athletic upside pick on the wing via Allen, who took out a 100+ cm vertical leap and sub 6 minute 2km time trial in pre-season. This greatly stems concerns over his season long ACL injury, given his 1% athleticism prior. If he can come back at even 3 quarters of his prior athleticism he'll do well to make a home on North's wing.

Very excited to see what horse shit ArdentEagle pulls next

(I know this is only a mock draft game). In real life, do you think the WCE management will allow this to happen?
It’s possible , they haven’t guaranteed any of the kids a spot so will come down to where the bid comes and how highly the Eagles rate them. Realistically we take 3 first round picks which leaves us with two list spots but have 4 kids we can match on. Evans in this mock went pick 21, I haven’t seen any other ranking or Mock have him that high.

Even now the likes of Swadling, Rodriguez and Curtin are still on the board who are probably all rated higher.

Clearly ArdentEagle is constipated and has no shit to pull

Fremantle take Fred Rodriguez

AsterixTheGaul time to take Adelaide’s pick which in the real world they’re trading to the Suns

With pick 42, Adelaide select Sam Ainsworth, 198cm KPP Ruck from Norwood

Sam has played KPP front and back and was required to ruck in the Carnival and did well. He fed the SA midfield nicely. I think he will be a KPD at the next level and has played that role before.

Crows can afford to be patient with him and there are rumblings that the Vic clubs are going to be poaching some of their taller defenders, so a great time to get a local prospect that will need time to develop.

beagles - over to you and an official welcome to the 2025 draft for the lesser SA team

Damn. Poaching is not just from Vic clubs. Sam was meant for better things than being a crow.

with pick 42 the mighty Port Adelaide Power bid on

Lachlan Carmichael

With pick 44 Port Adelaide creates the newest and greatest South Australian rivalry by selecting Cody Curtin.

SNAPSHOT: “A powerful marking forward who monsters his opponents and kicks goals in bunches.” – Michael Alvaro

Cody Curtin has long been on the radar as one of Western Australia’s best draft chances for 2025. A familiar name in the pathway, he’s the brother of rising Adelaide star Dan, who was drafted in 2023. The younger Curtin brother played a full National Championships campaign in his bottom-age season last year, before going on to help Claremont take out a second straight WAFL Colts flag.

With strong state form behind him and his induction into the National Academy, there was plenty of hype building around Curtin. His late-season Colts form yielded two bags of six goals in his last three games, all after slotting into the state side as a key defender. Like elder brother Dan, his versatility was clear from the outset along with strong physical traits and a genuine competitive streak.

Curtin turned out in both National Academy games before another full state 18s carnival, this time as a key forward/ruck. His goal was to break into Claremont’s notoriously strong League side, but instead he made every post a winner in the Colts. With six goals in the Grand Final, he helped the Tigers take out a third consecutive flag. It was a performance full of his trademark presence and power.

Shit....Didn't see tag. I've been waiting ages.
Sorry guys

Ironically, I saw it while I was on the toilet

eaglespremiers keep it moving. The Hawks have a bid to make.
I wonder if it's the same one Collingwood plan on making

Bulldogs take a ruck they’ve been linked to - Marcus Krasnadamskis

Thanks Keyser.

I've been waiting for this moment. It's time to be that guy.

With Pick 45... Collingwood place a bid on CHARLIE BANFIELD.

Following the departure of Tom Mitchell amd Finlay Macrae, and with Scott Pendlebury and Steele Sidebottom both being held together by pure hope and dreams at this point, Collingwood need an injection of young talent into the midfield.

Banfield's performances in 2025, capped off by his best on ground performance in Claremont's colts Grand Final triumph, managed to catch the eye of Collingwood's recruitment team.

Well that's legitimately disappointing after the copious delays other posters had at their selections during this process.
Heaven forbid I have to work through the day. I came on here as soon as I got home from work.
I'd been hanging out for this selection which seemed ages away this morning. Definitely wouldn't have selected Krasnadamskis.

With 49 Hawks select a big body mid.

Riley onley

Don't know much about him apart from talk, big offty opinions and all the draft mocks recently. But suffice to say I have seen his athletic traits first hand and at pick 49, he could slot in nicely to the Hawks midfield.

"Clubs have been searching for points of difference in this year’s draft class and Onley provides them. At 195cm, he not only possesses a unique frame for a midfielder, but also outstanding athleticism for his size and plenty of upside. While not necessarily your typical big-bodied extractor, Onley is one-touch and can make an impact on the way forward. At his best, there is no reason why he cannot be a top 30 talent out of the 2025 crop, but a club will have to extract that talent and could back themselves to do so in the second round."

Apologies
Who would you have picked?

Given my undue haste would you mind if I flipped Onley to the bulldogs and you pick again?
