There are other considerations which come into play. The big one at the moment is Callum Ah Chee shares the same manager as Nasiah Wanganeen Milera; who it feels like the SA football world is waiting to hit free agency in two years. On top of that there are mechanisms in place that allow Ah Chee and his management to veto any PSD pick and force his way to Adelaide. It's a fair bit of risk for what could be a mid-second round pick.

By Veto powers I assume you mean he sits out from all AFL for 12 months? As that’s what happens if he rejects to join any club that selects him.

Theres no such thing as veto powers over a draft pick. He can set his contract terms but any club willing to take that on can select him.

Probably rated it very highly. Can just enjoy his holiday in peace without needing to front media or do any medicals and a deal that moves him to a bigger house, sooner.

This might just become the norm for getting players over here.
