Alright, back on track. I've whipped up a quick consensus again – will add the missing ones as they're made available.

Spoke to his Grandpa I believe, they're the real source of analysis and media these days.
Does anyone know who the funniest Grandpa at the club is?

Only watched his club interview but he kind of had it both ways saying we'd pick best available but wouldn't ignore needs. My read of that is the difference between where the club rates these guys is very marginal.

Feel in 2023 we based on needs and 2024 we went on best available. This year a bit of a hybrid approach with Farrow / whoever slips through being best available and Nairn based on needs.

Michael Jordon was so powerful that Dennis Rodman had to call him 'Boss' and the Worm never called anyone that.

Micheal Jordon was so powerful that the Chicago Bulls logo got a Micheal Jordon tattoo.

Don't really see it with Nairn.

Kicking some goals in a dominant SA team against a bad WA team whilst getting the third or fourth defender isn't that impressive.

Happy to be wrong but his vision isn't super impressive. Weird kicking action for a lefty too.
agree regarding his highlights and his kicking action but no chance the recruiters are keen on him based off 1 game. Literally over maybe 50 games.

Bit weird that you think 'power rankings' are vague but you cite Twomey's power rankings when you feel like proving a point. At least be consistent.

Saying he has high footy IQ is the definition of being vague. How would you even define it? What have you seen that makes you think he is a high IQ player?

Is it his anticipation and positioning to only get 10 touches per game in a dominant team?

Is it his awareness to shut down opposition with 1 tackle a game?

Is it his decision-making to bomb the ball down the line to a contest?
how many touches do you want from a guy essentially playing full forward? fine line between 10 being not much and 15 being a lot for a full forward.

Nairn is the best player I watched, **** all you haters, you're not invited on the bandwagon later.
He does some things I like, think his overhead marking is very good and seems like a natural footballer, but just not as much vision available as other players so I feel like I just haven't seen enough which is why I'm sceptical.

What vision specifically did you see that makes you excited?

Clean, hard runner, smart with the ball, can take a strong mark. I think a lot of people are only underrating coz of the lack of vision/games and he's come out of nowhere a bit but as he said himself he wasn't fit enough, so it wasn't like he didn't have the skills he just didn't take things serious enough.

How is his ground ball contest work? Thats what we lack heavily up forward atm. I havnt seen any footage of him in a scrimmage or ground ball contest so keen to hear. Every clip looks identical with him on the lead taking an uncontested mark then wheeling around to boot it so would be good to know how he fares in other situations.

Of course the recruiters aren't basing their interest off one game - but if the player's clear best game of his u18 year has tape and you watch it and it isn't impressive, then that's a bit of a red flag (especially considering he didn't star in many other carnival games)

Like I said, I'm happy to be wrong but I don't see the appeal of using a top 10 pick on a player with that production.

I said it a week or so ago but he reminds me of Fraser Rosman

hes not a small forward so perhaps change your expectations on what he should be?

Can still have a ground ball contest game, hence why I am curious. Also any word on his defensive game / tackling as didn’t see much in the footage either.

It’s always been a bit of a knock on Fritsch so interested in how he stacks up in comparison.
