Jaidyn Stephenson will be training with Port. Apparently has to wait until after the draft before he starts.

imagine for a second the melts at north if we picked up Stephenson and he rebuilt his career from a local league player to the player they thought he was when they recruited him.

it would be the absolute mirror image of what they did to Jarrod Polec.

I was going to say, I thought North got Stephenson for bugger all, because he was part of the Collingwood fire sale, but they spent pick 26 on him and Bosenavolugi.

Granted it was in the 2020 draft though, so not like they missed out on much with the pick.

Worth it just to shove it in kane cornes face if it works out.
If he doesn't walk away at round 6 to be a fire fighter for 3 months I'd consider it a win
The Korn suddenly became more vocal about Port as soon as Chad, Ken and Chris left. Can't be a coincidence right? Hmmmmmmm.🤣

The dude says all those things yet doesn't seem to offer any solutions.

Stephenson has already had an AFL career, 122 games. Fringe player for North

What are we expecting to get out of this exactly?
This is how I look at it:

The Stephenson we saw at Collingwood walks into Port's side
The Stephenson we saw at North, you wouldn't see that anywhere but at North. Seriously, if you listened to him on the Sacked podcast, you can understand why he wanted to retire. Playing at a club that's good at losing would suck the life out of most. Top that up with personally being targeted at training, COVID hub issues etc I can see why he fell out of love with the game. Speaking about it in the podcast, it also sounded like he'd really matured.

I dont have questions too on whether he could re-discover that form he showed at Pies. The only question I have is whether he can show that he's 100% committed to the cause and is willing to work for his spot.

If he shows that in the next month including training the house down, then he would be start come Round 1.

Not sure why some are still having trouble with understanding the concept of training for a spot on the list. Stephenson has been given the chance to impress the club enough to get a spot on the list. Nothing else. If he doesn’t do enough, he doesn’t get a spot. If he impresses, then great, we gain a good player.

Stephenson kicking as many goals a year as Rioli.
Should change the thread name to The House Of Dreams.
Stephenson kicked 38 goals in his first season, that's more than Rioli has ever kicked in a season. The ability is there.

And yet Stevenson looks to have kept far better care of his body than rioli ever did.
Rioli was never super fit but played on natural ability.
Stephenson is a hack that nobody will even look at apart from good old Port.
Hopefully they wake up and don’t give him a spot.

Ability was there, that first season was 8 years ago.
A lot of Uber Eats has gone down the crap house since then.
You're right, we should definitely judge talented guys with a history of playing good footy solely by what they produced at Norf. That's why JHF is still a fringe player.
