End of the day he walked from north he's had a bit of time out of the AFL system he's obviously committed to returning you'd be the dumbest campaigners in the not to give him a chance
LOL no but the set shot was a gimme closer in. Anyone who is taking that shot is being selfish. Maybe he didn't realise who knows but he shouldn't have taken the shot.
Its going to be funny if we take him because the biggest supporters of taking him will be the biggest melts in Round 2 when they disown him.

Listened to about half of the Stephenson interview from August with CodeSports. Hadn’t heard him speak before. Seems like a sensible, intelligent bloke and one that I don’t think would be a bad influence on our playing group.
Given that the role he would play in our side is probably our biggest weak spot, I think it would be a good thing to trial him on the rookie list for 2026 if he impresses over the next couple of months. I actually agree with Carr that we would have been stupid not to invite him to train for one of these two remaining spots. Reckon with a hungry, motivated attitude, a good coach and line coach (Carr and Reeves), strong team culture and dynamic midfield getting the ball forward, he could have a Tyson Stengle like resurgence and impact.

Freaked out by some of the guys he played with and against, Talia, Varcoe, Rich, Bucks as coach. Seems a lifetime ago.
At least Fogarty taking him out in mid-air brought me back to the current day.
He looks a bit like Milan Faletic now, from the clips I've seen of him training at Alberton.

Josh Carr would be very aware Stephenson is an elite talent!
If as reported he has sorted out his off field issues, reignited his passion for the game and is working hard on the track it's a no brainer to give the bloke another chance, because if he can get back to anywhere near his best he will be a genuine first 18 replacement for Willie Rioli.
