The complicating factor is the fact that it's my son's birthday on Sunday, so I should be home between 3pm and 6pm - give or take an hour or three .

I don't know why more parents don't just tell their kid/s that they were born on Feb 29 as that way they only need to deal with birthday parties once every 4 years

Then when the kid is going to turn 16 and be old enough to get their learners permit, that's when you present them with their real birth certificate

Just had an idea - perhaps he can delay his birthday by a week. We're having a night grand final again (starting around 7.00pm AEDST), so that would leave plenty of time for stuff like birthday parties.

Just have an Opening Birthday the week before the actual birthday and then a wildcard birthday the week after - that’ll fix everything !!!
