How could such a handsome man do this to us. He was a rational presence during the Sharp/CDT wars of '25

With my selection, I choose Mr Exercise Bike himself, Tom Gross.

It’s a big 2026 for Tommy - will he ever get off the exercise bike or running laps, and join main training? Are we going to see improved strength and endurance, to go with his clear natural ball-winning ability? Will he be able to adjust to playing in more than just midfield, in order to crack into the senior team?

One thing is for sure, he’s got a great attitude and will leave no stone unturned to get the best out of himself. Whether it’s at AFL or WAFL level, I’m excited to see the continual development of Grossy in 2026 and beyond.

Good thing as I have been preparing since June this year when I had a premonition at Rottnest.

Mind you at this fast pace, it is likely to be well after Christmas before I get to pick. Thankfully we do not have to listen to Nat Edwards between picks
