There are lots of modern artists that will have the same impact on this generation as your favourite artists did for yours.

I love INXS and remember my uncles saying that they will fade away they are no where near the talent of Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin. I bet when those guys were coming out the parents were saying there guys are no Elvis or rolling stones, Led Zepplin will never be anything.

Nah, the music chunk of the content industry is infinitely more fragmented now than it was in the days when broadcast radio ruled. This has good points (far lower threshold for talented artists to get noticed via yootoob et al) and bad points (AI driven material gets attention as well).

My point is that there are a ton of talented young artists playing actual instruments out there, but there is zero possibility that any of them will have Steve Cropper's impact on the average person's conception of rock music.

I watched the last overs of the match last night.

I thought it was the worst bowling I'd seen with only one wicket left. They should never have cracked 300. Zero variation in pace, it was all just slam it down and hope for the best.

I have lost two of the attachments that keep the weights on the barbell, which is very annoying.

I have also lost one of the wheels on something, which means it is now propped up with left over wrapping tape until I find a replacement wheel.

The late innings bowling was about trying to minimise the chance of a wicket and having to bat for a couple of overs under lights

Thing is that they gave up too many runs due to being really poor at what they were trying to execute
