If we play so poor that we look like we are tanking, it's because Yze is the weakest link.nah tanking more important

Why can't almost everything go right? We are due for a good run including with injuries and umpires.Young players are notoriously inconsistent especially in the back half of the season when the marathon of a year takes its toll on their bodies.
Very difficult to maintain a 4 qtr effort
I’d be pleasantly shocked if we made the top 10, almost everything would need to go right this season for it to happen.

Always look on the brightsideWe are Richmond that’s why
In all seriousness a long term injury to anyone of Vlas, Broad, Nank, Hopper, Taranto & Lynch and a promising season can quickly derail.
That’s why I said “Not saying he will be”As much as I'm excited about the potential he's shown so far, I'm not a huge fan of making comments like he could be better than Dusty. Martin's ability to step up in big games was probably the best ever seen in the AFL. Suggesting that Lalor could exceed that is a pretty ridiculous bar to set.
I know you're only talking about potential, but let the kid play and establish himself first
Can't see him best 23 if all availableYep same as 10 other players on the list , Needs to be given the chance to play
Should've waited 2 more years.L4LOR #4
love that
SettleNot saying he will be, but this kid has the potential to be the equal or better of Dusty. He's a great decision maker, has the fend off down pat, is a much better overhead mark and is an elite kick. Could be absolutely anything.
Got a Mate who’s a bummers fan, said after round one last season that he couldn’t believe we had found a Dusty mark #2 after one game, I think he’s not far off the mark tbh.
Good God.Alot of my mates are saying the same thing
Cant believe how lucky the tigers are to replace Dusty & Cotchin with Lalor & Cumming so quickly
They still dont know about Hooton/Shai Faull/Riewoldt Gibcus/Rance Sims/Lynch![]()
some of our fans are not ready to let go of another really low pick just before tassie comes in. but at what expenseWhy can't almost everything go right? We are due for a good run including with injuries and umpires.
Weirdsome of our fans are not ready to let go of another really low pick just before tassie comes in. but at what expense
This proves it. Dusty was always 187cm. Clear gap hereCaught up with mate from the club today. Was telling me most of the obvious stuff about whoose flying and the vibe across the whole group which is unsurpassed in recent years by a long way.
Interestingly he told me L4lor has tipped over 190cm and Fawcett is 198.5cm. No wonder the latter has been trialed in the ruck.
Also keep an eye on Noah Roberts-Thompson. The club have massive wraps on him.
And don’t start on pies 23 or shemons,,,,lead by frampton and Fritz lmao, a couple a hall of famers therejack, chimp, dusty , rance are superstars. what more does he want
hawks had franklin , hodge and mitchell and their backman was a fat campaigner from the dogs
i dont recognise those as real flags as theyre in the stand rule era/severe umpire manipulation eraAnd don’t start on pies 23 or shemons,,,,lead by frampton and Fritz lmao, a couple a hall of famers there
NRT is a sleeper...He's got some poise and tricks, beautiful left foot...Great late drafting...Caught up with mate from the club today. Was telling me most of the obvious stuff about whoose flying and the vibe across the whole group which is unsurpassed in recent years by a long way.

I think we may have some top liners in the future but right now we don’t. I’ve watched the Tiges many years also and potentially we have a top list but until these kids can make the jump then all we have is potential. Our list in the late 1960s and early 70s would leave this for dead.Been watching the Tiges for over 45 years Mate and this is by far the best bunch of juniors I’ve seen on our list. I’ll back them and Blair and his recruiting team, to the hilt. You obviously don’t rate them as highly as I do.
I’m confident we easily have more than 2 “top liners” on our list right now and there’s far more high end talent than you're seeing, your opinion which you’re entitled to, but I respectfully strongly disagree
We should be most excited about:
Fawcett
McCauliffe
Campbell
Miller
Alger
MRJ
NRT
Gray
Retscko
Ross
Mansell
All have shown to be best-18 and/or some really promising signs for the future (I’ve left out Hugo, Smith, Green and Tresize as I’m less confident they'll
Be part of the long-term future - but at least one probably will be)
It’s exciting because none were in the top-40 of the draft and all are 26yo
and under.
The top-end draftees and any free agents will ‘look after themselves’ in regards to 50-60% being at least very good senior players.
So having such a collection of ‘players acquired for chips’ showing such great things this pre-season puts us in an amazing position in regards to depth of our youth when we have 15 top-30 picks (plus likely 3 more in 2026 draft).
I’d be very surprised if we are not top-10 by 2028 …. Only serious injury problems on-going will hold us back. I see top-4/flag contention by 2029. I’ve got no doubt about that looking at the playing list other teams have compared to what ours will be like in 4-years
