Only player ever to be AA BnF and poll 24+brownlow votes in 3 consecutive years turned 25 this month.

Conesy can’t even find a spot in his top 15
Nek minnit...

0 x BnF
0 x AA
9 Career Brownlow votes

And you get his number 1 spot!

He has Jaspa Fletcher (who has amassed a whopping 12 career coaches votes!) at 38, ahead of Bailey Smith and Will Ashcroft, while nowhere to be seen in his list are Tom Stewart, Jesse Hogan, Patrick Cripps, Cal Wilkie, Jack Sinclair, etc.

Ludicrous.
Agree

My thoughts on the Lions boys on Kane's list

Andrews 8 - Happy to see that, but fairly high for a key defender traditionally. Maybe 10?

Clugga 9 - A bit high, I think. Possibly slide back half a dozen spots. Maybe 15 or 16?

Neale 30 - Seems a little low, still one of the top 2-3 clearance players. Maybe 22?

Dunkly 34 - Very important player at Brisbane, but not as flashy as some. Happy to see him on the list. Maybe 40?

Fletcher 38 - Way too early in his career to be on this list. Lions fans are very exited about him, but not top 50. Maybe 75-100?

Bailey 43 - A hard player to rate really. Had a very good season and then exploded late. Can be inconsistent. About right.

WAshcroft 45 - Seems very low for a dual Norm Smith winner. Some of his work around stopages and the goals is breathtaking. But his work in open play isn't flashy and to date his numbers aren't there yet. Maybe 35?

Zorko - 47 - Should be higher. A real difference maker. Top 3 player at Brisbane in terms of his influence on the game and value to our team. He is old though, and a bit hard to love for the neutrals. I'd have him 40 or higher?

I think Andrews is best defender league and well worthy of a top 10 spot

The question is . . . why?
I mean I know he's a star but talk of him being a superstar and one of the top 13 players in the competition as of right now is a bit rich.

He's very much the icing on the cake when it comes to team success. He's not a match winner. These type of players are a dime-a-dozen. Bolton, Papley, Fritsch, Watson.

And Zac Bailey at 33?
Come on! He's a much better player than Kosi.

Not sure there is a massive gap whereby Bailey is 'much better' than Kozi.

They were both All Australian in 2025 (but far easier to get a call up in a top 4 team than a bottom 8 team, especially as a forward).
Bailey got 46 coaches votes in 23 games, Kozi got 40 in 20 games (i.e. both 2 per game).

Kozi, playing in a much worse team, averaged more goals, more assists, more score involvements, more meters gained, more contested possessions, more inside 50's and more tackles.

(Bailey averaged more of the ball (by 0.4 of a possession), more marks and better disposal efficiency).

The umpires had Kozi BOG 3 times and the coaches had him BOG 3 times.
The umpires had Bailey BOG once and the coaches had him BOG twice.

Not that I think they mean anything but all of the differing rating systems (I.e. 'player ratings', 'champion data' etc) all rated Kozi higher than Bailey in 2025.

Don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with someone preferring Bailey over Kozi, but the idea there is a massive gap between them and that rating Kozi higher is laughable I don't think is a fair reflection, particularly if you also consider the environments they're in and that Kozi is 2 years younger.

Let's see if he can maintain that after 300 to 400 games like Pendlebury and Sidebottom have played...
I am not saying he is as good as them, just replying to you saying Cripps has no one stealing votes off him.
