I think Charlie Comben is going to go to a new level this year

118 points, and absolutely domninated defensively. Wondering if it's worth burning a trade from NAS?

I know it sounds desperate but if Comben really does become a keeper, I can reutilize that cash from Nas downgrade. I'll have 1.1M free cash.
I thought the same in 2024

I think so eventually, but feel like he was a below avg cash cow I punted on
Had 5 100 point games in 2024, 133 I think was the biggest, 4 in 2025.

It's hard to say being a bad team should make a defender score higher or not but I feel like if North are remarkably better he might be worth a punt.

What's the worst case for me? I burn a trade from NAS, I gain 340K + The difference between the NAS Drop, meaning I'm closer to 1.2M surplus. NAS Still hasn't shown he can shake the attention so who knows how far he can drop. Then in the end I'll burn a trade IF Comben doesn't do anything but I'm optimistic he'll be at worst a mid term hold and make 100K.

I dunno, It's a gamble but how else do you break the lines here.

It’s only one game of data though, played 20 games last year and averaged 61. 19 games the year before at 76. Not worth the trade imo and port were poor on the weekend.

If your set on trading nas there are much better options to trade to. I still think nas will come good and find a way to break tags as he’s too good a player not to.

Naz
Errol
Z Uwland
Poo

Which ones are must trades this week?
Errol is the only must trade.

NWM I'd just hold, everyone will have him soon anyway, cop the lose and move on. If you trade out now you'll be getting him back at some point, probably a bit cheaper, but it's not worth two trades.

Uwland, yeah trade him to the best rookie you don't have. You could wait a week though.

Pou is a hold, this week anyway.

Team is not in a bad spot, but not a good one either, scored 2300 and ranked 23300 (nice numbers). Sold X Lindsay for a Draper donut to access Bruhn's 110, not a smart move and will blame the piss, although not having Lindsay is probably a win. Now have to waste a trade and lose Draper, looks like he won't be in the mix until round 5 or so meaning on the bubble in round 8 I'll be needing a downgrade option around that time and it's probably better to get him back then. Don't have Cook, but his price interferes with the trades I want to do over the next 2 weeks, Arty Jones looks like a good option with DPP and could be ready to cull when Draper's available, nonetheless will make more cash than Draper would've.

I don't want to use a boost next week and planning a week ahead for 3 trades is fraught with danger, reckon I'll go early on Milera, taking all the kickins and has performed great in the PS match and round 1. Windsor will make way, took a punt, time to make an early correction, might bite me on the arse but I'm not going to hang around waiting.

Don't have Grlj but he can wait until next week, can't see him getting dropped or having much of a change in role, Blakiston will be the sacrifice, giving him this week with a better matchup but if his follow up work is as piss poor as last week then he's sacked. Cogs was nowhere near enough involved in transitional plays, completely different to the week before, he's on the bubble with a 0 BE, but if he spuds it again then he's gone, probably for Houston.

Need to trade out Erol and my main players im looking at are 2 Rookies Murdock/Cook
Which has better JS and Which players has more scoring power ?
Im leaning towards Cook

I could wait another week but think might have to use the extra cash to trade upto Stewart/Houston plus other trades and just feel going early on 1 of these would be needed

I don't think MM is leaving the side any time soon. Cook slightly worse JS but should be good enough for a few weeks at least. MM has shown the ability to ton but I think he will average about 70, same as Cook

That would be a crazy move IMO

Trade NAS to Sinclair before Nas goes down in value around $100k if another bad week and Sinclair jumps up in price
You can always trade NAS back in when he bottoms out but it could be a $200k difference between the 2

That strategy is going to lead you to the no trades club in record time.

If a person picked NAS at the start you have to ride out the price drop. He will come good.

Trading him out and then trading him back in is the definition of madness.

It's not crazy, his price only matters if you trade him (or he gets injured).

He'll find form soon enough. This happens every year, a premo starts slow and everyone jumps off, only to have to get him back in a month later when he comes good.

Use your trades improving your team, sideways trading premo's isn't the answer.

You will only lose money on NAS if you trade him out, it doesn't matter what you paid for him as a season long keeper, that deal is done.
