too
little too late after he lost us the game last week
He didn’t lose us the game, so I can think of many plays that did that didn’t involve him. You have hated him from day one, so move on.

Not sure about dropping Gibcus. He definitely should never have been selected last week on his preseason form, but if the direction is that we're trying to get games into him, no idea why you drop him after one game.

It’s 3 games he’s been below the level if you count preseason. I imagine the plan was to get him used to AFL level and then give him a run in the VFL if not ready.

It’s a plan so crazy it might just work.

he lost us the game by just being out there

How would you know? You have said many times you wouldn’t even watch our games, so move on, lol. So Lynch goal kicking wasn’t the issue; want me to give you more?

Remind him again of the intensity required at AFL level. He was far too timid last week.

i watch all our games , i dont watch other clubs in the stand rule era. but i believe if gobcus wasnt playing we would have won as he was a statue

This is where I get frustrated with the constant calls to drop some of the older guys for younger players. There is a reason we're playing those older guys and it's to do with things like structure, leadership, protection & execution of the game plan.

I mean it would be great to see all the kids playing, but when they get thumped every week and I don't mean on the scoreboard but getting smashed in contests by bigger & fitter opponents, they don't develop as much as they do when they have those senior bodies around them.

Last week is a great example, when Lalor was in the centre early on he was often matching up against Cripps at stoppages which is a great learning experience for him playing against a 2 time Brownlow medal winner, but as the game went on the match up changed and Lalor would then be on a guy like Hewett and the more mature Hopper spent time on Cripps.

It may not please everyone seeing the side picked the way that it is, but in the long run the rewards will be worth it.
Why did Lalor end up on Crpps. Who was Taranto and Ross matching up on.

No doubt when we get smashed it'll be attributed to us being a 'rebuilding' side despite us selecting a significantly older team.
