Re-locating

Sounds like the Tiges are keen to expand their Poker machine revenue to offset their perpetual on-field successlessness. Think the Tiges should be focusing on footy rather than poker machines though. Many football commentators regard the Tiges current list as the worst they've seen in 25 years. The Miller-Terry nightmare has brought your Club to it's knees, and even added a few more stuff-ups this year. You will keep going backwards until you give these 2 the boot. Should have been done 2 years ago. Relocating to Cragieburn is not the answer.

The point is what is posted on this board really has nothing to do with anyone else. If a poster on here wants to start a thread bagging another club they can, and be reasonably assured that they can do so without opposition posters taking aim at them.
If you want to answer with some constructive banter it's fine, but as soon as it gets to the insult stage you will be "asked" to leave.

Honestly Bee, you carlton mods ought to lighten up a bit. You guys are almost turning the carlton board into a german nazi camp and don't need to. Be firm where you have to but there's nothing in this thread that I would consider you need to be concerned about.

Parrot is indeed a lure but the richmond mods are lot more lenient on his type than you guys appear to be with similar type opposition fans. At the end of the day, the title of this thread is bait for opposition fans to come on and defend their club. It happens on every board. I suggest you nip it in the budd straight away if it's going to ultimately lead to opposition fans posting in a non vindictive manner and still be a problem for you carlton mods.

No use having a hissy fit. Here's the deal. This is the second time the Miller-Terry duo have rammed the Tiges noses to spoon level. What you need to ask yourself is WHY this has happened. There were no draft penalties, no other confounding factors. The answer is obvious i.e. extreme list management incompetence and an apathetic coach. I have given you a detailed list of the recent Miller blunders, but it would take be another 10 pages to go through Millers other stuff-ups. What is really disappointing, is that in the past the Tiges supporters just would not tolerate this sort of incompetence that we are seeing from Miller and Terry. We all remember the dump truck incident, plus a few others. The Tiges are now sitting solid bottom after having to endure 28 years of failure, and their supporters, apart from a few exceptions, are hardly raising a whimper, and just quietly going along with the post-gaff spins. Where has that Tigers supporter spirit gone? They should be protesting right now over the Cragieburn relocation. It's time to take a stand.

Reading into the proposed move for our secondbase to be at Craigieburn, all I can say is thank God we have a guy like Steven Wright as our CEO.

What a move!

First off, there will be a $10 million purpose based, state of the art facility sports arena built just for us, without us paying a cent. Thats a massive business deal right there.

Second of all, we move to one of Melbourne's fastest growing suburbs, with the young families going out there rapidly, so not only do we have our supporters already, but we have another, can we all repeat, ANOTHER community that in time will be following the yellow and black.

Thirdly, we have not left our home and will never leave our home now with this deal as we have an MCG sized oval to train at with STATE OF THE ART facilities but remain at Punt Road Oval. So we remain who we are, but get;

*Another Training Facility - STATE OF THE ART
*$10 million dollars into that facility - STATE OF THE ART
*Rapidly growing community involvement - THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE
*More Sponsorship deals because of this - MORE REVENUE


All this and all we have to do, is sometimes train at the oval............

Lets not forget the new Sponsorship deal with Dick Smiths, and the money from the government for our spiritual home at Punt Road which will now be another state of the art training complex. On top of this Craig Cameron joining plus two more top quality appointments yet to be announced.

Great, sounds like you're happy with the re-location. I guess it opens up more options. You'll be able to get more Pokie licenses. Also the Punt Rd oval keeps getting eroded by the ongoing Punt Road widening, and they have Rocky 1 training facilities there, so the relocation makes sense. Soon you'll be called the Craigieburn Tigers instead of Richmond. Shame, but I guess it was bound to happen without any onfield success for over quarter of a century, and a meek 2011 9th finish pipe-dream. Hopefully the Government handouts will continue to keep your Club afloat.
