Which regulars from here are going?

I booked my flights today with tiger - $20 each way. Staying in a 3 bedroom apartment with 6 people works out to ~$40 a night.

Minus Booze and Food, trip comes to $105.

Should be a good game.

Booked my tickets the morning they came out. Beautiful seats basically across the centre line on Level 3 - pretty much exactly where I sit for Victory games.

I will be going, this will be my first Socceroos game in fact so I am very much looking forward to it. Managed to score $20 return flights with Tiger Airways 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately though as I got the tickets to the game late I am about 3/4 of the way up in the 3rd level but I guess just being there will be good. Though at least it will be easier to see the other half of the pitch as opposed to when standing behind the goals on Level 1. Should be a fantastic atmosphere if the A-League Grand Final last season is any indication (pity the result). At least it cant be as worse as the last row seats I had at the G a few years ago in a Essendon vs Carlton game.

Its ridiculous that the SkyBus is $24 return between the Airport and CBD, about 40km travel whilst the flight over and back is over 2000km yet $4 cheaper.

This game is super important anything less than a win in this game could just about end our world cup hopes IMO.

I can't understand why they wouldn't say Screw ya I'm going to play for my country and get them into a world cup! (wouldn't they let English players out to help England Qualify they let all the Affricans go play in the Con.Fed. Cup

That is because of the political clout that the African block brings to FIFA.

Great atmosphere and a great result last night, despite a fairly poor second half.

That was my first Socceroos experience (I saw Australia play at the Olympics in 2000 but that's more like Olyroos) and it was brilliant to have 50,000+ in the one stadium all cheering for the boys. An absolute thrill to see guys like Cahill, Bresciano and Neill for the first time in flesh.
