You'll probably need to buy a machine & wear a mask each night.

Costs about $3k when they try & flog it to you here, dead set thieves!

I think you may have mentioned some time ago you snore, have interrupted sleep, feel very fatigued & drowsy during the day. I know the last two may have something to do with the meds you take.

Just a hunch, hope it all goes well for you.:thumbsu:

Yeah. I have had that(Not All The Time but have had it) so yes there is a Good Chance I have it(Hopefully not to Bad) and would explain a Possible Reason why I got Clots earlier in the Year.

The GP I saw had look in my Mouth and said Straight Away I had it because of Teeth being Grinned Down and Could not see something back of my Throat
 
Various hits to my nose in earlier days caused a bit of mental trauma, and they also produced a wonky septum which refuses to allow any air through my left nostril and not much through the right. I had a second round of surgery late last week to see what could be done. Among other lovely things this involved a 'surgical' breaking of my nose, meaning than I am now black-eyed, sore.

Did it work? Too early to tell, but not too early to feel sorry for myself.
 
Came home on Monday and had my staples removed today.

Lots of fun and games just to get home, so much to consider - toilet, bathroom, kitchen chair etc. The prices of some of the aids are unbelievable and hiring wasn't an option so improvised. Have driven my family and BFF crazy.

My toilet was to low so fortunately my neice had a higher seat but I needed something to hang onto so cut out the seat of a garden chair and presto.

I have a shower over a bathtub so had to work out a way of getting in and over and out. So got a friend to put a few bricks and wood covered over with a towel and although they were not entirely happy gave it the okay. Of course that is not how it ended up, bought a $5 baby stool from Kmart and is working well.

None of my kitchen or dining room chairs had arms so got out an old chair that I was saving and also took the arms off an old office chair and screw them in. Presto, again, good solution.

Still have a bit of pain but not like before. Have not idea why I didn't do it earlier.

Back to two crutches as nearly fell over on one (at home) and fortunately instead of daily injections to avoid blood clots, taking medication.

So glad to be home, food was terrible and I realised late in my stay that there was a restaurant on the corner of the street so started buying take away from there but was costing $50 per day. :p I am such a fussy eater.

Finding it almost impossible sleeping as can't sleep on my back and that is the only option at the moment.

I also use a long shoe horn that I bought from them and it is an IKEA one.
If I had bought from IKEA - $1, they charged me -$6.
Great aid though, good for putting on clothes and shoes, no bending.
 
Went to the Blood Doctor Today. He said I have to be on Walfrin(Blood Thinners) for rest of my Life as the Risk of Getting Clot Again IF I stopped it is way too high and with the Clots being So Big around my Lungs he said we/I don't want to Risk it coming back as could be worse a 2nd Time Around.

Had Blood Test for Protein as that could be a Reason for heaving Thick Blood and IF it comes back Positive then rest of the Family need Blood Tests for it as other Family Members could have Thick Blood that could turn into Clots

Kind of Annoying when the GP at the Hospital said I could stop Walfrin to have that Test. Then the Blood Specialist says the Opposite that Don't Stop Walfrin and I can have test when I am Walfrin.

You do wonder about some GP's on how much they know when the Specialist say something Totally Different.
 
Have my Sleep Apnea test on the 28/4. Be Interesting what it comes up with as I am a Mouth Breather.

Get my Results from Protein Test on 12th. To find out IF this Clotting is Genetic or Not.

Interesting the Doctor last time said because how Big My Clots where that there is a Good Chance they I have more Clotting in my Life. Probably not as big as last time but something I need to keep an eye out for. Be more Aware of Early Signs now.

Well this is a jolly little thread...
So I may as well add to the woes.
As most know I’ve got an inverted papilloma above my right eye.
They’ve hunted arpund seven times now cutting, cutting, cutting......but it’s still there.
As all of these operations are conducted through the nose there is considerable damage.
On Boxing Day I felt “leakage” from the surface of the right nostril. Not from the opening, from the actual outer skin!
Well that’s strange.... but it got worse. And now there is a constant thin film on the entire right side of the nose, which crusts up.
So, my quacks on hols, and all my ops have taken place in Melbourne, 3 1/2 hours drive away.
So I had a script for some very strong anti bots given to me in October by my local hospital after I had a big bleed a couple of weeks after an op, with the express instructions “to be used in emergency” only.
Well, I’ve has that script filled, think this qualifies.
Will ring ST Vincent’s tomorrow and see what they want me to do.
What a merry time of the year!

Thank you. Spent most of the day in bed as I have good and bad days.
Much better now and I run along with one crunch and can't wait until I can sleep on one side as is terrrible sleeping on my back. My favoured position is feotal.
Funny think though, my good leg and knee is playing up, everytime I flex my knee have developed a clicking sound.

Gee that sounds terribly uncomfortable, hope that they can resolve it. Is it a common issue?
Maybe instead of ringing, just turn up in "Emergency"?

That what Pisses me off. With these Stories come out but say could be at least 5 Years and up to a Decade away from hitting the Markert.

Tell us when you are no longer then 2 Years away.
 
My Mum and Cousin(Who Lives With Us) has said I been looking pale in the last 3-4 Afternoon's.

I have not had my I"N"R Tested for 5 and a Bit weeks. Been Hot and that can Effect I"N"R Levels

So be a Good Idea tomorrow to go and get it Tested?

Mate, it’s not a question. You already know the answer.
When friends and family point out that they are afraid for your health, then off you go to get treatment.
They love you, they see you every day. Trust them.

I want to know am I allowed to just to Rock Up at Dorvitch and ask for the I"N"R test or do I have to do it when they say to do it or not?

As I want to go and get Tested Tomorrow Morning

Best give them, or your GP’s surgery, a call first thing in the morning.
They will be able to advise you.

I sent a Message/E-Mail to Dorvitch and waiting for Reply.

They told them they not Hugely Concern but Been nearly 6 Weeks and Been Very Hot which can effect my I"N"R and think it does need to be Checked to make sure it's between the 2 and 3 it needs to be

Mate, don’t wait for an email reply. Those things take to much time.
Pick up the phone and contact a live human being.
This is your health, and maybe your life, don’t rely on emails that may or may not be read in a timely manner.

I feel Fine and Nothing Wrong so I don't think it's super Serious that I have to go to Hospital or Something, Color has Always come back

IF Serious I would not be on here I be going to get Checked out ASAP
