Well, today for the first time in 5 years I am totally off antidepressants. So far, so good.

Magbloodynificent!!
While the drugs have their place, being able to leave them in the past is a situation to be celebrated.
And to all those on any medication, please, please, please make your GP or specialist do 6 monthly reviews.
I constantly see people whose medication hasn’t changed in five years, even a decade. And that simply is wrong.
Medication must be reviewed constantly. I’ve even taken myself off prescribed medication for a month or two to see if I still require it. And in most cases I no longer require it, or the dose can be reduced.
I’m lucky that my only consistent medication is for hypertension and gout. I have reduced my hypertension medication twice in five years from the initial high dose, only because I took control.
BH, I’m absolutely rapt for your great news.

I'm glad but also a bit scared. I knew they helped there for a while, but because of the side effects I always wanted to get off when I could. It was time. I just need to be prepared to ride out some bumps; they tended to even stuff out a lot, a bit blunted if anything, but it meant I had a backstop when things got bad. Now my backstop is me, but Im stronger and better prepared.

Mate, stay strong. Reach deep into yourself and BELIEVE that you can confront all of lives disruptions simply by drawing on your inner strength.
You can do this. And despite some internet disagreements, understand that this community is 100% behind you.
With your resolve, and our support, you can break free.
Go you good thing!

Not human but my 18 month old sausage dog has a big hard lump on his head and has to get it X-rayed and a biopsy taken tomorrow. Hopefully it’s nothing too serious :(.
Fingers crossed for you and your dog.
I don't have any pets as have had bad luck with them and too hard to get over.

It hasnt gone so well. Going to be away a while.

I have some people who tell me quite often, 'Be kind to yourself'. I'm not sure I've ever managed it, but I think the advice is sound. Look after yourself and come back soon.

Human enough. My Mum has had sausage dogs for over 30 years. If I dared to suggest that her current one (Jack) wasn't human then she'd probably slap me on the side of the head and tell me to be nicer to my 'brother'.

Hope yours is okay.

Haha yeah we have two. Pretty much our children at this stage. It ended up being a nasty abscess on the top of his head. He’s ok now but he was pretty uncomfortable for a while with it.

Any one the board have had cfs/me, if so how are you.
Have you got over it and how, and how long did it take.
Had it about 5 yrs and counting.

Went to see my uncle today. For the final time.
Riddled with cancer. They’re basically starving him to death now.
A drip for hydration, a mixture of “nutrients” that he sips and then immediately comes out of his nose via a tube into a bag.
The horrible thing is that he is still as sharp as, like he always has been. The mind has not deteriorated one bit.
No matter what ails you, enjoy every f@@rking minute you have.
