Tom Lynch is already a write off.

New statistics reveal that Richmond will need to adapt to new rules more than any other team
That's the reason they were brought in. The AFL had to do something after instructing the umpires to discriminate against Richmond for the past 2 years failed miserably.

Haha, imagine spending huge dollars on an expansion club's expensive forward then being forced to put him in the ruck. Hahahaha

Funny that, btw how's that dud forward Tom Boyd travelling in the ruck these days???:$

I don't usually bother with stats but glancing through Tom Lynch's accomplishments suggests the Tuggers may be in for a rude shock, paying superstar money for a fairly average player.

For instance would it surprise you to learn Jarrad Waite averaged just 0.1 marks and 0.4 goals a game less than Lynch over his career? Yet Carlton received zero compo for losing Mr Potential white Gold Coast was handed pick 3. Roof of the power of perception.

Would you also be surprised to discover Lynch has only kicked more than 40ish goals in a season once, which happened to be when he had Ablett, O'Meara, Prestia & Swallow feeding him the ball?

How about that he's only kicked more than 5 goals in a game twice, both times against Carlton? :$

Would that describe Tom Lynch’s new role after he thought he was going for Coleman glory?

Gotta admire you guys by protecting Jack this way, spend millions on a GUN, promote his name to sell merch, offer him a future and then make him a ‘role player’ rather than upset the AppleCart.

Richmunt, where careers go to die...
The only 'role playing' Lynch will be doing is out muscleing smaller defenders anf kicking bags of goals. We will kick 6 on Tom Pewart.I don't think you understand how physically imposing he is,he is like Tom Hawkins but better and not dirty. Also the leasership he provides as an ex-captain, add that to Cotchin, all Australian captain Rance, and Dusty and Jack and its a leadership overload.

Ha ha every other club would give their right testy for him, I noticed Hawthorn had a late crack but chose Scully instead .Scully will make a good orange boy and list clogger.I was going to say Scully could be a good team Runner but he can't run unfortunately.

There's no need to injury troll mate, we already know you're a campaigner. Nor is anyone forcing you to get so upset over my completely unbiased statistical analysis of Tom Lynch's overrated career.

Your club greatly overpaid for an above-average key forward who on balance of probabilities is unlikely to become anything more than a slight upgrade over Charlie Dixon. We've seen absolutely no sign Lynch will ever adequately fill the shoes of Jack Riewoldt (who I rate very highly, just not as a human being) and that persistent knee issue has thrown significant doubt over his future durability. His character must also be questioned after walking out on the captaincy to say nothing of the disharmony making a merc your second highest paid player will breed among your list, but I encourage you to maintain the illusion all is well for long as possible.... because when Tom is (eventually?) fit to play reality's gonna hit you in the face like a wet fish.

We paid unders for him and it's no slight on him to leave a manufactured club with no supporters, that was created by the AFL purely to make money.I'm sure if you were in his position you would do exactly the same. You can't say Garry Ablett, Steven May, Josh Caddy, Dion Prestia, Aaron Hall,Charlie Dixon, Kade Kolodjashni and Jaegar O'Meara are all bad people.

Really? I heard underneath the PR spin Richmond is paying him $1m a year. For a key forward who averages slightly less than 2 goals a game. :$

Only three of them walked out on the captaincy and Tom Lynch is one. Hopefully the rest of his career mirrors Ryan Griffen's after doing the same. Even if it doesn't he's sure to be about as popular among his peers.

Lol, Lynchy is a good bloke mate don't worry.A bit rich coming from a club that dumps it's champions off to other clubs. Luke Hodge at Brisbane,it's a stain on his career. Also it is a disgrace you are thinking of making Ben Stratton captain before Roughead. I know you tried to offload Roughy but he can still play.
