LOL. Where were everyone backing my statements up about Green a few years back?

Not the "shouted down" rubbish again. Green got a LOT of criticism.

In fact, his mum tore shreds off me on Twitter one day. LOL.

You are the Man, SM!
Just ask you!

Charlie Cameron is a B grader IMO but he's definitely capable to be A grade or elite.

Just needs to get involved 25% more.

His first 10 weeks for us were absolutely A grade imo. Particularly considering the poor effort in the midfield and poor service into the forward line we had almost every game he played before injury. Where we did play competitively he was a gamechanger (eg against Port, hawthorn, melbourne in the second half and in the latter parts of the GC game).

The position he plays does lend itself to going missing at times though so that is a fair point. He's certainly not an A grade midfielder or winger or anything, but for the small forward role he's up there with the best.

If his finishing continues on like the first half last year (he kicked 17.4) then yes but if it drops back to his time at the crows (closer to 50:50) then he'll drop back to B grade

He was a key component for us being in games for the first part of the year, even when he is not kicking goals his defensive pressure is elite, not to mention his link up play!

Before my time. I only started supporting the Lions in 2015. As a result wins are celebrated more than birthdays in our house.

Unfortunately watching the good teams from yesteryear highlights how much we need to improve to be a real contender.

On one hand you haven't seen much success. But on the other, if you only started following the Lions in 2015 then you haven't had the prolonged pain that many of us have endured either. Ratio of good times to bad should be in your favour over the next ten years..... So says a Lions diehard anyways ;)

Just noticed on foxsports.com that Josh Kennedy is on track for a return from injury for round 1 v the Lions at the Gabba, unlikely to play in a JLT game though.

Who goes to him? Harris Andrews, Marcus Adams, Josh Walker?

Dont think he is at all certain to play against us. If he doesn't play the JLT then there is always conerns around him being available. Might not get up or have general soreness or just not math fit. If he does play tho, l reckon Andrews.

If Dizzy is fit I play him on Kennedy.Andrews on Vardy and Walker on Darling.Kennedy obviously bigger but gets alot on the lead and Dizzy can go with him.Andrews gets a chance to drop off Vardy and be third up in contested situation.

Darling killed Walker last year. He’s also dominated Dizzy in the past and Kennedy has kicked a bag on Andrews too. Key is to break even in the middle.

I’d go with Andrews on Kennedy and Gardiner on Darling. Adams or Walker on the resting ruck.

I can see why we are focussing so hard on game 1 with west coast having no gaff, Cripps, and potentially jk as well as Lecras retired. That is a lot of weapons missing. Shuey and Yeo also sound a bit underdone. Round 1 at home is our best chance of knocking them over.

Josh Green was a good finisher and good at racking up cheapies. He wasn’t good at much else. Charlie however, is good to elite at quite a number things. Freakish skill, speed, agility, positioning, X factor, game sense, lace out i50 passing. He should pass Greenys season PB before too long and offers so much more on the side.
And Greeny could take a mark, well just one.

One of the things about Charlie's pressure is how fast he is, opposition know how quick his closing speed is and they have an eye out for him. I think that adds vale as the crowd noise lifts when he is chasing and that adds to the pressure as well. He is actually worth a lot of bums on seats for us as well.

Yeo will miss I'm pretty sure? Cripps in doubt as well.

According to WA news it should be the other way around - Cripps to miss with a toe issue from memory and Yeo should play but will be underdone, as will quite few others.

Hmm alright. The article I read stated Yeo has only just returned to the main group so is unlikely to have the conditioning for round 1.

You are right, Yeo has only just returned, has lacked that conditioning, i think they said they are aiming for him to play in JLT but you never know, could quite possibly miss along with JK. Cripps will miss our game.
