SEN starting their anti Richmond campaign,Ellis contract on hold malarkey lol.

Also mentioning a heap of Richmond players who have to resign.

Not like other clubs have this situation but let’s paint Richmond in a negative light.

St Kilda have lost their version of Rance, says Riewoldt

The potential season-long absence of St Kilda star Jake Carlisle through injury would be "devastating", according to club champion Nick Riewoldt, who claimed Carlisle was the Saints' version of Alex Rance.
Carlisle has barely trained in 2019 and may require surgery on his back, which the club admitted could rule him out for several months.
Riewoldt, the former captain and six time best and fairest, said the Saints will find it nearly impossible to replace someone who he rates as one of the best defenders in the game. Carlisle ranks equal-fifth among defenders for intercept marks in the past two seasons, averaging 3.2 intercept marks per game alongside Sydney's Aliir Aliir and Rance. The best intercept-marker in the game, West Coast's premiership defender Jeremy McGovern, averages 3.5 per match in that time.
"If you want to play a defensive style where you want to zone off and intercept, it's one thing to have the system but you need to have the personnel capable of doing it," he said on SEN.
"The reason Richmond have been able to do it is because they have Alex Rance ... Jake Carlisle is the equivalent at St Kilda."

"He can shut down a player, but his ability to read the ball in the air and get a cross to intercept and then start your offence the other way; that is the game now.
"The game is an intercept game. To lose your best player at doing it and arguably one of the top 10 players in the competition at doing it is devastating."
Saints head of football Simon Lethlean said Carlisle's ongoing back issues have now turned into problems in his discs.

“He’s going to need to see a specialist, things aren’t improving, he hasn’t been able to train properly since really most of January now and it’s not getting better so we need to assess whether surgery is going to be an option. If it is, that’s going to mean a significant chunk of his season interrupted.
“If you’re going under the knife, you’re certainly looking at three, four, five months [sidelined]. I guess we’re not quite there yet, but we certainly haven’t found a different alternative that’s making it better right now."
Lethlean also staunchly defended recruit Dan Hannebery, after journalist Damien Barrett claimed on his podcast, The Sounding Board, that Sydney people "nearly fell off their chairs" when learning of Hannebery’s inclusion in the Saints’ leadership group.

“I would be interested to know who it was that’s laughing about their vice-captain from last year and a 200-game player that’s much loved by the club.
“It certainly wouldn’t have come from John Longmire, Tom Harley or Andrew Ireland and people that are respected in the football industry, and I doubt it would come from a club like Sydney that have a great culture and great respect in football."
Both Hannebery and fellow midfield star Jack Steven are in doubt for the Saints' round one clash with Gold Coast, with the former "up against it" according to Lethlean, as he continues to recover from a hamstring issue.
Of Hannebery, Lethlean added: “He is frustrated, our doctors always knew with two years of interruption he was going to need to get the blocks of training in that our medical guys say he needs compared to rushing him.
“He’s come to terms with that I think and he’s just got to work hard and hope he plays round one, if not round one [then] round two, if not round two [then] round three.”

Lethlean described Steven’s decision to step away from footy for a period as a “difficult” situation for the club, but that St Kilda’s main priority was to ensure the four-time best-and-fairest winner eventually returned to Moorabbin with a smile on his face.
“Jack’s been having issues for a period of time ... if it kept meandering along about how he was feeling, the whole year could be affected,” Lethlean said.
“Jack is a pretty free spirit that likes to please everyone and he could hardly look his teammates in the eye yesterday when he told them because he didn’t want to let them down.
“Jack’s going to go away for about 10 days to spend some time in a different environment with someone he trusts and just do some things that he likes which will hopefully include some fishing and some golf and he’s taking a training program with him and if he wants us to send one of our high performance staff across to do some work with him we will, but he thinks he’ll be able to get that work done with the guys he’s staying with.

“Hopefully he comes back in 10 days wanting to reinsert himself back in the program, but he might not. He needs to reinsert himself back in when he’s fit and healthy to do so because it’s so high-end what the players do these days that you’ve got to be at your best.
“One thing he does not want to do is miss games so he’s torn about how fast he can get back as soon as he gets back into it.”
Key backman Nathan Brown (suspended) and ruckman Billy Longer (hamstring) will also be unavailable for selection in round one.
New St Kilda president Andrew Bassett recently backed coach Alan Richardson, declaring competitive performances ''week in, week out" were the objective this season after finishing 16th in 2018.

In all seriousness. Didn't the Blooz jump in with next years first pick to pinch the ready made Stocker? Why isn't he picked for tonights game?

Because he has probably shown on the track why no other club rated him that highly............or it's too hot for 2019's no 1 or 2 pick.

Why isn't Stocker playing JLT1?

Yes, SOS specifically said they rated Stocker as a top 10 selection and one of the best midfielders in the draft.... yet not selected for a JLT game
