A fit Phillips isn’t that far behind a fit Kreuzer. Hasn’t strung enough games together for people to notice.

Re: Tom Williamson, he and a few players visited the school my brother teaches at. My brother asked him how he’s going and his reply was “injured, back in four weeks”.

Was that “injured back, in 4 weeks” or was it “injured, back in 4 weeks”?

There is a slight difference in meaning with the comma placement.

Back in 4 weeks. Although the Herald Sun has him listed as test this week, so who knows what’s going on. It was just good to hear it from the horses mouth, especially with all the rumours going around. My brother also said he seemed like a very good bloke, so good luck to the kid.

Andy Maher has given a positive feedback about Tom Williamsons back injury on the Carlton Show Podcast the backs fine, he's coming along really well, there's been a lot of stories about him which has been not true and way off the mark...
Shock horror , who would have thought..........

Great news

Maybe the powers that be released some false info regarding Willo to see who is leaking info??

So, for someone who’d had a pretty good preseason up until 3-4 weeks ago l, the backs fine.... but won’t be back for 4ish weeks.

What is the actual official issue?

Interesting when a few of our in the know posters cane out stating he won’t play again or another stated it’s not his back but he’s a long way off.

Thought his commentary on Lang was interesting too.

Still think he can be a serious player for us if he can get his body right.

Setback with the ankle, not great news for him really can't get a clear run at, there were some games at Geelong particularly his last one, he showed promising signs he could play and was happy with getting him to the club, has good speed knows where the goal are, good age he's still young 23yro, he needs a good run at it without anymore injuries...

From afl.com.au (5th March)

https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-03-05/injury-list-every-clubs-medical-room-ahead-of-jlt2

Charlie Curnow Corked calf Test
Sam Docherty Knee Indefinite
Alex Fasolo Arm Test
Matthew Kreuzer Knee Test
Darcy Lang Foot TBC
Harrison Macreadie Back TBC
Caleb Marchbank Back TBC
Jarrod Pickett Knee Indefinite
Tom Williamson Back TBC

Curnow looks likely to be fine, despite leaving JLT1 with a corked calf.
Fasolo is set to play his first game for the club in JLT2, having recovered quickly from a broken arm.
Kreuzer is also an outside chance to play Collingwood, having recently undergone minor knee surgery, but looks a certainty to be fit for round one regardless. However Marchbank, Lang, Macreadie and Williamson have already been ruled out of the side's season-opening clash with Richmond.

Worst injury list in the league already.
Worst in terms of taking out four of at least, my best 22 players; Docherty, Marchbank, Pickett & Williamson and if Kreuzer doesn't come up - Make it five.

Would love to count Macreadie in that group but just can't put him in....as he's been way too injured for way too long.

They also said they think they've now rectified the ankle issues he has had in the past.

We might be about to see the best of him.

Hopefully he finishes off the season fully fit and has a big preseason next year.

In terms of volume though, 6 unavailable players is incredible.
