Media Ode to an Inactive: #Cammo150

Today, a now seemingly forgotten figure of Dragons FFC will play his 150th game.

He is a former captain of the club, coaxed Jatz out of retirement, and recruited the likes of Hatchy1992, Blaze Storm, Dennis Confetti, Knifey Spoony, and Mooresome to the club.

He hasn't been seen in the SFA for six months.


I am of course, referring to cammo6556, a forgotten hero of Dragons FFC.

Like many Dragons after him, cammo started his SFA career at the Bombers. After playing for them in Seasons 19 & 20 and winning a club B&F, cammo crossed over to the Dragons in Season 21, where he's played ever since.

One of the more active members of the club, he played in the Season 22 Grand Final side, where he picked up his maiden Deestroy after booting 6 goals and picking up 19 disposals. He followed up by taking home both the Ljp86 Award, and the Dragons MVP trophy.

At the end of Season 22, cammo was picked as the new captain after Hate stepped down as he prepared to replace The Filth Wizard as admin.

Cammo's captaincy was solid, if unspectacular, leading the Dragons to consecutive finals campaigns and winning another club MVP trophy, before handing the reins to Hatchy1992 and Blaze Storm.

Since then, cammo has slowly and sadly disappeared from relevance, his most recent post in the league coming in a media thread last September.



We here at Dragons FFC do hope that he comes back one day, maybe today if he wants, to celebrate his career and go out with a bang.

But for now, we celebrate #Cammo150 without him...

A little known fact. cammo6556 was the first SFA poster to spot and approach the prodigious talent that is TL15. Prior to KohPhi talking me into to joining the Bombers cammo6556 approached me but I knocked it back.

I do however, recall bringing Cammo in to the Sweet FA to then then known "Bandits".
