Yep, the rookies with decent JS (especially backline rookies) are all more expensive.
Is there one decent forwardine rookie besides $144k Setterfield?

Over the last few years I've been hesitant of picking rookies purely because "they're going to be dropped straight away when player x returns"

My worst was Andy Otten who was 'definitely out when x player came back".
Then Jenkins got injured and Otten stayed in, probably the best rookie and I didn't have him

He's the only one I have on field. (Drew and Parker bench.)

Hurts the rest of my team tho.
Moore, Ridley, Clark on field... And Sloan at M2.
Not at all convinced that I'm convinced...

I have Balta and Parker on there atm but looking to ditch Balta now to someone else.

I have Burgess at D9 to swing with Moore at F4.

I was thinking of bringing Liba back in at M6 and getting rid one of Oliver\Fyfe\M.Crouch so I can then upgrade Balta to Billings and have Setterfield at F6 instead but then the midfield looks a bit weaker.

Happy with the onfield rookies.
Will just switch whichever benchwarmers with whoever gets named, fine with starting McKay, Petruccelle, Hind, etc. on the bench if they get named. I'd rather a slow burning rookie than a dumpster fire of midpricers.

won't surprise me if a bunch of rookies we never heard of pop up for selection this week.

Luke Valente. He might end up a surprise Rd1 selection even though he missed JLT through injury. If he's not named Rd1 he'll be named for Rd2 or Rd3 IMO. I'm tempted to start with him at M11 even if he doesn't play Rd1. Reckon he'll score well and end up playing 15+ games this year as an inside mid.

How’d I forget gibbons - low scoring puts him down the list and ok will add hind but pretty sure he won’t play.

Wilkie more likely wk1 I reckon, but then the marsh pick up stuffs up his job security. From a saints point of view I’m hoping McKenzie is fit so neither are needed

It probably gets said every year, but the rookies really are terrible this year.

Also, every year we are surprised that a handful of rookies make their debut in R1 that did nothing in the preseason games or perhaps didn't even play them.

Wines ruled out this week means that Drew will definitely play against the Dees.

Not certain about his long term JS.

Wines and Hartlett have to come back into the team over the coming weeks.

I think i might pass on Drew and hope he is an downgrade target later on.
