From reading excerpts of his manifesto, he was 'motivated' to commit this mass shooting by what he observed whilst traveling for roughly 2 years through Europe and Asia/Mid East. Incidents such as Bataclan massacre, multiple shootings and rapes committed by Muslim whether refugees or homegrown, etc, etc... that left a lasting impression even on me who was several thousand kilometres away when they occurred.

Those claiming that he was 'brainwashed' by 'racist' right wing media just want to believe to that because the reality that mayhem and violence by followers of a blood thirsty religion was the main influence is far too confronting and can make them deeply question their own political ideology which is obviously a discomfort they want to avoid at all cost.

Very few (weak minded/open minded ) people are indoctrinated by opinionated morons who write for Fairfax publications and News Corp. The vast majority seek articles that confirm they already entrenched beliefs.

Anning is without a doubt a racist piece of shit but he's not wrong is ascertaining that importing people who follow a medieval religion that remains practically unchanged from the day it was founded in the 7th century (warmongering and expansionist in outlook invented by a pedophilic warlord probably suffering mental illness that exacerbated his violent tendencies) is a seriously bad idea. A broken clock is right twice a day as they say....

Yes, what is more likely: he was brainwashed by Bolt articles or events like Bataclan, the Nice attack, the Lee Rigby beheading, Charlie Hebdo, the Manchester bombing, the London knife attacks etc etc.

It sounds like you agree with Anning and his ignorant opinions about Islam, but that can't be right, can it?

I think he named himself after another Socrates. Maybe there’s a famous racehorse named Socrates.
Maybe it's a sequel.

Socrates2: Socrates is back and he's looking for revenge!

Dialectic didn't work, I want you to all shut up and agree with me

When the debate is over, slander becomes the tool of the loser.

*dab*
I retract this statement :'(:'(:
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/socrates-debate-lost-slander-loser/
So far as we can tell, the phrase “when the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser” emerged roughly around 2008 and appears to have no traceable history prior to that. Despite its popularity on social media, no one has ever found a single direct link to any material attributed to Socrates matching the quote. Its abrupt appearance and lack of historical support suggests that Socrates’ signature was tacked to the commentary to give it an air of ancient wisdom.

Bigfooty’s very own vigilante.

I better lock my doors tonight
I'm glad bigfooty has you to moniter concern trolling, maybe you should show more concern? In the news at the moment is how in a 2011 liberal party cabinet meeting, Scomo pushed heavily for a anti-islamic campaign to win votes. That is what is disgusting about this. Also it's a disgrace that the liberals have adopted some of One Nation's policy and have happily swapped preferences with One Nation and Corey Bernadi.Re ' It's free estate' - it is not good to post 100's of posts all day long, you will go crazy.Once you start referencing the jacobites it's time to take a break for an hour. Not everything can be resolved instantly by referencing antiquated history mates.

It is strange how a single terrorist attack by a white Australian reflects the white nationalism of Australian culture and white Australians in general, yet hundreds of attacks by Islamists over 20 years means there is nothing wrong with Islam and you are racist if you think so.
I don’t agree that the attack carried out by Brenton and co. is a reflection of Australia (because let’s be honest, it’s just a couple of crazy and extreme people) but you need to know the distinction when it comes to the common Muslim and the extremists because quite frankly, I don’t like what you are insinuating.

The hundreds of attacks that you are describing over the last 20 years happened when extremists started migrating and attacking people in Western countries. So, it’s not Muslim immigration that resulted in these attacks - it is extremist immigration. Anyways, the reality is that these extremists have killed more Muslims for their practices than people in the West and have been doing so for 300+ years.

One might ask how the distinction can be made. To me it’s easy, but governments in the West really need to do more research on what makes someone at risk of being influenced by extremism. For one, they are usually the Wahhaabis (the followers of Muhammad Ibn Abdulwahhaab) or are influenced by Wahhabism in some way or form. Another group (and probably the reason why these attacks have trickled into the West) are the group that follow the sayings of Sayyid Qutb, who is an Egyptian poet that stated to his followers that they can kill anyone who enforces, follows and does not revolt against secular law even if they do not follow it. A lot of extremists seem to be a mix of both groups nowadays.

Things can be done about this. The Ethiopian government for example got on top of this and appointed traditional Muslims as head of Islamic education. There are Muslim countries who have removed books written by Muhammad Ibn Abdul-Wahhab from the shelves because of his bad influence. Yet, we still have a Wahhabi presence in the West. WHY?

I just think that too many people nowadays are just too lazy to do research on the origins of this type of terrorism and that’s sad. They’d rather look into useless things and when a terrorist attack happens, they’ll just take the terrorist’s word that their actions are honourable in Islam when in reality it’s not. This is how Muslims have now become the main victims of extremists that wrongly carry out attacks in the name of Islam a right wing extremist that walks into a Mosque and shoots dead 50 people.

You babbling fool. What have "lefties" got to do with the racist, fear mongering dog Panihi? Do you think that all the people that find Panihi, Bolt and the other supremacists loathsome are all "lefties"?

<--- the point, it's over there.

Very, very few people identify as hard right or hard left.

Anyway, Rita Panahi is Iranian by background, so if you think she's a white supremacist then that's interesting.

I don't disagree with any of that. But implicit on ensuring that extremist immigration does not occur, you need a fairly strong filter, do you not?

This is the blind spot (mostly white) left wingers have. Not all people are the same. There are good Muslims, good people of all creeds. But among them there are bad people, sometimes more numerous than they realise. To ensure they don't enter your country, what do you do?

The simple answer is: draconian migration policies. It is not nice, but it works. If you don't want bad people in your country, you stop them at the border. That's what borders are for.

So Australia's intelligence agencies had no idea about this guy even though he frequented RWNJ websites, yet they deport Dustin Martins dad for being in a bikie gang? Time for Peter Dutton to go,he is an incompetent racist that can't moniter or find terrorists.
Step away from the keyboard mate. You are all over the shop.

They haven't been granted refugee status because their bona fides can't be verified.

These are the statistics, you will see that majority have been classified as refugees.

As at 31 October 2016, of the 1,195 people who have had their claims for asylum assessed by the Nauruan Government, 941 (79 per cent) had been found to be refugees.
As at 31 October 2016, of the 822 people who have had their claims for asylum assessed by the PNG Government, 675 (82 per cent) had been found to be refugees.

What do you disagree with? Do you like the job Peter Dutton is doing or would you say he is not up to the job.We have Indonesia cracking the sads and I blame Dutton .If you don't believe me about the Scomo anti-islam cabinet meeting read this https://independentaustralia.net/po...demnation-of-christchurch-terror-attack,12480 then there's this
In the wake of the Bourke Street terror attack in Melbourne last Friday, which left one person dead and two injured, Scott Morrison has pointed the finger of blame at Muslim leaders.

The Prime Minister claims they're not doing enough to stop extremism, criticising the community for "making excuses", looking the other way and ignoring potential risks.

"I won't cop the excuses," Mr Morrison said on Tuesday, doubling down on his attack.

Do you really think that they did the assessments? LOL!

It is in our counties best interests to actively manage the rate and composition of our migration programs. This is not why a crazed white supremacist decided to shoot a bunch of muslims in New Zealand. Then you conflated the issue by querying why Martins old man got bounced. The man is a criminal and member of an outlaw gang. For the record I hate the far left and the far right crazies equally.

Shane Martin has no convictions yet he is deported. Most fair minded people would agree Dutton is playing for votes at the expense of proper policy.

The manifesto is about causing hate and division
His actions to cause this are working
They already exist/existed.

That white supremacist was a migrant to New Zealand from Australia.

Should New Zealand halt migration from Australia?

'Just until they figure out whats going on' of course.
