Rhys Palmer injured in motorbike accident

There's a facebook post floating around from someone who appears to know him that doesn't paint a pretty picture. Query brain damage if he pulls through.

Really hope he makes it through fine, don't want to see this happen to anyone.

we can only hope he does well from here. Best to keep an open mind on early reports. conditions can change quickly

Those comments from his half-sister don't paint an optimistic picture. This is hitting pretty close to home for me because it's very similar to how my Mum died - hit by a car that didn't see her, ruptured spleen, induced coma for a week before she passed, the anniversary of which was two days ago. Hope Rhys has a better outcome than we did.

Sorry to hear that dude. Also hope Rhys has a full recovery. No one deserves that.

Triple M say that he's in dire straits. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.
Swan Districts just gave an update.

"It’s now been confirmed that Rhys doesn’t have a head or spinal injury. And although he had damage to his liver, it’s understood that this is expected to make a full recovery. He unfortunately lost his spleen on Saturday night to stop the internal bleeding.'

What a lucky campaigner, I was never going to say it on here but I was expecting brain trauma or for him to not make it.

Great news given the circumstances. Any word on the woman involved in the incident?

I saw that update and it made me think of his parents at his bedside... can you imagine the rollercoaster of emotions his family has gone through first being told to prepare for the worst and then be told that he will make a full recovery.
I’ve got kids and when I heard that news I shed a few tears of joy thinking of his family.

That's great news. Still, sounds like his body has gone through some hairy stuff - going to be quite a journey to health.
