Forward playing for Gold Coast....do we need to say more....Thoughts on Lukosius?
Thoughts on Lukosius?
He looked alright in the first 2 JLT games, has some good hands and can kick a goal. He seems to be holding Sam Day out of a spot in the team, so he is there on merit. The interesting thing will be if other GC rookie Corbett, who is due back in a few weeks, does he take Burgess spot? Corbett from all reports was the best of the mature rookies we bought in this off season.
As kreglze said.
In ahead of Sam Day
Corbett was ahead before any of the matches but got injured at an inopportune time.
Burgess was apparently good in the Brisbane prac match, was quite good in JLT-1, didn't think he was as good in JLT-2
More mark-kick than groundball so would suggest he is a low possession player, contested marker, goal kicking looks a bit shaky.
Think he is a 50-60 type player.
Chance he plays in defence at some point where I think he could score better.
I'd pick him as someone who should at least get 3-4 games against poor opposition early on for the suns. has DPP.
May get games in defence throughout the year.
I'm taking him.
legends all of youSorry for the delay due to bigfooty being down, Stewie said he will get his debut on Sunday, will be the second tall behind 2MP unless Day somehow gets a gig. When Corbett comes back (1-2 weeks) he will either become 3rd tall or help play in defence. Worst case he loses his spot to Day or Corbett, but i doubt it. He is on the pine for me, can see him scoring well but will be inconsistent

I see your point don't get me wrong. But the bloke is a tampon.
think i'm going to end up starting Drew purely due to FOMOI was never confident that Port would play all the rookies in the same team for round one.
Butters and Duursma have deserved their spots in the team based on JLT.
Was never keen on Rozee playing straightaway and I am surprised he has been named to play round one.
Drew was always going to be a stop gap measure for Wines considering we have so many of that type of player in the team already - Rocky and SPP.
Agree. Moore is overrated. Highest SC ave of 61, injury prone and looks like Keira Knightley. No thanks.

The thing with Moore though is that the role he is going to play this year is very SC friendly and nothing like he has done before so prior averages actually mean jack shit!
CD scored him massively in the JLT for actually not doing to much in what was just a regulation decent game against us and i am taking their hints regarding who they look after scoring wise.
He is best 22 for the Pies and unless injured he plays every game easily and is 239k...... I mean what more do people want?
Only question mark is his durability and surely he is due a decent run at it body wise and no player misses large chunks of a season every bloody year for their career!
Darcy is well worth the risk at his price in what is a shit year for FWD rookies he is my M5 and he does not even need that big of weekly average to be an excellent stepping stone to a premo around the Bye weeks.
Who the **** is that?any of you lot picking Bailey Smith?
My concern is Dunn and Howe coming back.
And CD changing their scoring like they usually do
He’s an annoying one as I think there’s a fair chance he will up being a decent scorer. Hard to pick a bloke at 180k who we hardly saw anything of in JLT.any of you lot picking Bailey Smith?

29 and 41.
You know he's going to score 85+ and Butters will get traded out
I agree with most of that...Darcy Moore has had a strong preseason and already showed great signs in his new role during intra club hitouts and it carried on through the JLT series.
Forget past scoring history. Playing as a tall forward and crippled with injury has ruined any consistent output. He’s now pegged in a new SC friendly role and will be heavily involved as a sweeper/intercept guy. Pies have invested a lot of time with him at training with kick out duties also. The ONLY thing stopping him from being decent is the soft tissue issues he has, otherwise he can and will show he’s a decent scorer. I’ve said it before and stand by my statement that he has all the traits to be an AA defender, health permitting. At 239k with dpp he’s hardly THST big a risk. Worst case you downgrade to a good rookie if he fails.
Now leave Ms Darcy alone and stop FN bagging her.
The what if’s are endless. In this particular case I’d probably hold and use his dpp for loopholeI agree with most of that...
But the worst case is he plays 3-4 games, gets injured at the start of a game, and all the rookies have had 1-2 price rises already. What then? Keep him on the bench cos he's "1 or 2 weeks away" 5 weeks later you're still fielding an extra fwd rookie...
