If you'd started nothing but rookies and Grundy last year, and made all the right trades, you could have won Supercoach.

Interesting phenomenon. Trying to imagine sticking with a Rookies & Rookies approach beyond two weeks is killing my reserve.

A couple years ago I made a team that scored more points than the winner, without making any trades. Midprice city, gun rooks. Completely useless exercise but funny.

A small fwd playing for Carlton doesn't excite me too much. He'll get stints in the middle but how much?
Mature ager and 102k price are the upsides. But with so many other options I think it's hard to pick him. Maybe better to start a more expensive option, and keep Gibbo for a cheap bail out correction trade after we see how he scores.

Walsh m7 Butters m8, or Constable/Atkins m8 with Butters on bench.
Think one of the Geelong rooks can score as well as Butters, so leaning to #2 atm. The 50k is handy.

I think I might go Balta over Drew. Drew will score the best out of the forward guys but it just looks so obvious he will be out for Wines in a week’s time. Expecting to have to make a corrective trade with those forward rooks in any case so might just trust my gut and if I need to change it I will

Obviously players will get dropped if they don't conform to the roles that they're asked to play.

But Graham and Broad are best 22 along with Macca, Balta is filling a need with Grigg out (IMO) and if he performs then it's up to Grigg to fight his way back in
