I think I might go Balta over Drew. Drew will score the best out of the forward guys but it just looks so obvious he will be out for Wines in a week’s time. Expecting to have to make a corrective trade with those forward rooks in any case so might just trust my gut and if I need to change it I will
If Richmond supporters are thinking about Baltas JS security, now at the 11th hour that sets off alarm bells for me.

You never know. Drew has played fairly well. They still might wanna put games into him maybe he just get relegated to a bench spot and someone else drops out.

Hard to imagine wines, spp, rocky & drew in the same midfield tbh all similar types. Rocky played forward a bit I guess...

Like I said bench player. If they all get 80% Tog. He can take up 60% they are rested for give or take. I dont think its that inconceivable. Its his 3rd year if not now when?

They have boak and Ebert too which yes makes it harder. But surely they wanna get games into him.

His JS was always going to be largely tied into Lynch, now they have both been picked I feel a lot more comfortable with it. Ditto with Drew, if both he and Wines were playing this week it wouldn’t even be a question

FMD Walsh at M7? How are u guys going so deep in the mids? When I do that I'm stuck with Greene at F3. Already got B.Smith at D3. It's all Gawndys fault too.

Dont stress they have all skimmed somewhere. Most likely a bunch of mid pricers in their team mainly in the back and mids stocked up on Brouch, Sheed, LIbba or the likes of Brayshaw, Sloane, Steele instead of the 600k players.

Backline would prob not have any player over 450k either. Mills, Williams, McGrath, Smith, rookies filling up the spots.

Tiges won a flag around going small. Bringing in 2 new bigs this week without really replacing one

I think balance could be a concern
But Balta moves like Judd

Sounds like you’ll be starting the year behind everyone that scrimps in the right area then....

....and ahead of everyone who scrimps in the wrong area...

....and be able to catch up to anyone if you make the right moves in the season anyway

Kind of makes the endless pages of speculation through preseason seem a bit futile really...

You could have just said we are all pissing in the wind.

Balta is 6ft 4, he's shorter than Cripps,
He's seriously mobile

Balta presents a conundrum I was hoping not to have to deal with. Impacts decisions on Drew / Gibbons / Begley types, Nankervis potentially. JS impossible to predict.
Understand the enthusiasm around the player, but SC-wise not so much.
