******* media journos are campaigners. Exact same thing happened last year with Piggy Oliver and some media campaigner saying he looked proppy. He came out and averaged 114 for the year. Whitfield is in my team.
**** media journos, royally.
Yes remember it well, was not a happy campaigner.

Sounds like some campaigner here works for that paper and submitted a fake article to push us away from Whitfield.

Just reporting what I saw on Champion Datas twitter feed.

Thoughts on McGovern and Rance? Can they get back over 90?
Rance looked great in jlt
I think he’ll comfortably get back to 85+
Look at his scoring from 4/5 years ago. I think he’ll get more spoils and I think the game will go back to how it was played then. Guys who’s scored well back then will score well now. Especially the kpp’s
Rance being one of them
Can see buddy averaging 105+ too now he’s gonna play round 1. Regardless of the injury the rules suit him
Great pod
J roo will average 100 too
Will both kick multiple bags of 5 plus with the new rules

Jjk would’ve been a lock if not for injury round 1/2

Ridley or Moore

Moore imo; Ridley has sketchy job security with both Redman and Gleeson competing for a similar role being available to play in the VFL pre-season game this weekend.

https://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2019-03-19/gleeson-set-to-return

Gleeson will take part in the VFL side’s pre-season clash with Coburg, but given the length of his extensive rehabilitation, physical performance manager Justin Crow said the club will take a conservative approach to his return.

Promising utility Mason Redman is also set to take his place in the VFL side for his first hitout since round 14 last year.

For limited trades I'd prefer Moore with the greater job security over Ridley who I think will score better but may not play enough games to make ~$150k.

That's a no to Whitfield for me then along with Laird and Lloyd.

Only premo defenders I'd ever consider now are Hurn and maybe Crisp.

Just gonna stick with my midpricer defense instead.
Don't get why ppl are ruling a line through proven guns like Laird and Lloyd. Lloyd will be the highest scoring D again.

We know they will the best scoring defenders, the issue is that this year we have a lot of super expensive "must-haves" (well most people think they are)

Gawn, Grundy, Danger, Macrae, Cripps, Oliver, etc are bloody expensive, so most are taking a punt in defence and hoping that Lloyd and Laird drop in price and we can pick them up later

It's the price and need to save money/find value. Lloyd priced at 112,Laird 108,highly unlikely that they back it up. Lloyd has had 1 premo season, so hardly proven.
Having said that I think he'll be top 3 defender and I prefer him over Laird and Whitfield atm. Need 1 premo defender imo.
And yeah what Stevebbb said ^

I don't see why Lloyd can't back that up or even increase. There was a year I didn't wanna pay top dollar for Docherty and he proceeded to pump out 130 every week, as well as my rectum without any lube.
