Because if Marshall plays we will have 2 forwards on the bench unless of course he did play back but he hasn't done that for a long while and that would be a big task. And no he wont have forgotten how to do it but you have practice matches for practising in positions you play in. And Wilkie seems more versitile down back.
Dont know why if Marshall plays we would have 2 forwards on the bench..

Port showing exactly how to do it at the moment. With no less than 4 kids from last draft.

They have stepped back to move forward, we are unfortunately in the zone where we can't afford to be uncompetitive and have to start showing some signs of the rebuild working. Too many people need us to be competitive to keep jobs to be in development, otherwise we admit the rebuild failed. Richo kept us competitive when we should have been building, now we still need building but have no where to go.

Just my opinion on what has happened every year for the last 4 years
Fair enough but I'm pretty sure has hasn't been dropped 3 - 5 times a year for the last 4 years, maybe the last 2. In fact for a while there people were calling him Richo's pet because he was playing week in week out.

By round 12, we will have accepted the rebuild has failed. Which should have happened end of last year, but money and contracts didn’t allow for it. Delaying the inevitable imo. The right measure have been put in place though ( I hope ).

100% agree, we tried to hang on too long, needed to bite bullet earlier.
Anyways, preying my bad feeling about tomorrow's game doesn't eventuate!

That’s why there is already 3 new players

Kent is a Melbourne reject, Parker and Wilkie are state league mature agers. It shows the kids we don't have much faith in them.

I think this is a real line in the sand moment, lose this and we are gone, get a couple of wins early and some belief might hold us together and make us back up around mid table which won't do much long term but may attract some players from other clubs who mistake it for progress.

So we don’t have 3 new players. Which kids from the last draft should be playing?

Depends on if we want to win tomorrow or win a premiership in a few years.

Why wouldn’t 11 wins do anything long term. I don’t get that. If we are midfield that means plenty of improvement

Well it actually has. Membery plays as a tall. He isn’t a ground get player. Hardly any side plays 3 marking players and if they do one or two are usually very good footballers
Members is a quick, agile midsized player. Bonus that he can take a mark and kick a goal. Adds speed and pressure to our forward line so you dont have that as the disadvantage of playing a lumbering tall who slows you down - you probably wouldnt want 3 of them. He is a good player, Bruce is a good player, Marshall is a young player with potential to be good and is our best number 2 ruckmen and can play as a kpf or kpd. So there you have 2 good players in your forward line.

and in 12 years we will accept that global warming is permanent and that there will be imminent weather storms likely to kill thousands of people and that experts have tried to advise to put in place strategies but ultimately greed will dictate the outcomes.

Not very good. Anyway if Marshall long doesn’t. Rather long for pressure

Totally understandable to question the current regime & failed direction of the football club. The last seven years is evidence enough. The apologists will say it was the error of the previous regime but I bet my bottom dollar that same group were vehemently defending Watters & only turned on him after he was sacked. :drunk:

Also known as a ‘melt’.

Iceberg joke hidden in there.

I turned on him after his first pre season.
