nah - plenty of contrast I reckon (agree that removing the side stripes wold make things better though)

I'm with you. I just had a look at some grainy highlights on my laptop, mainly from wide angles. Sufficient contrast, would be improved with side-panel removal.

It's comparable to Adelaide versus Richmond (in clash).

This is bizarre, in recent years they have even used yellow balls for 3:20 games in Melbourne during daylight savings when the game ends in broad daylight. Even accounting for daylight savings today's game started at 3:05 so you'd think they'd use a yellow ball. I reckon someone just ****ed up

Absolutely needs to be worn more often. Paired with red shorts it will basically replicate their first Sydney jumper. Definitely needs to be worn in more away games. They used to wear it against Melbourne

It should be their home jumper with red shorts. That look is one of the crispest going.

Only if that policy is based on the misconception that your shorts MUST match your jumper.

If they were to wear clash with red shorts vs Carlton in home with navy shorts, I can't see that being a problem in any way at all.

Also it seems there's a bit of backlash on Twitter (promoted by @aflclashpolicy) regarding Hawthorn wearing yellow against Adelaide, who have a small amount of yellow in their kits.
Never see this when Carlton wear navy against Geelong, and there's more mutual colour in that fixture than Crows-Hawks yesterday.

And the trim on the shorts. Clearly it's hard to make decent-looking alternate kits.

Maybe the memories make me biased but the blue stuff they wore in the 2017 GF was about the best

That and the red set they wore when we played port. Amazingly both of these colours were only worn once AFAIK, so it'd be kind of unique to own a set.
